REPORT ON RECONCILIATION TOUR OF ENGLAND
BY THE AUSTRALIAN PRAYER NETWORK 3/10/99 – 16/10/99

The Australian Prayer Network organized the reconciliation prayer tour to England in 1999 as a follow up to a visit by British intercessors to Australia in 1998. The value of the reconciliation tour was:

  1. Increased awareness of English churches about the historic corporate sins of Britain in relation to Australia
  2. It gave Christians in England an opportunity to gain a practical theological understanding and a heart for the ministry of reconciliation, identificational repentance, sins of the fathers (intergenerational sin) and the corporate responsibility of the church
  3. It gave English Christians the opportunity to hear "We forgive you" from Australians and the chance to say sorry if they were led to
  4. It lifted a curse off England by pronouncing forgiveness over the nation thus paving the way for revival
  5. It was an appropriate response to the visit of British intercessors who came to Australia in 1998 for 7 weeks saying "We’re sorry"
  6. It forged improved links between the prayer movements in Britain and Australia
  7. It gave the Australian team an opportunity to do a joint ministry tour with Aborigines and gain a better understanding of their perspective
  8. It increased awareness of Australians, black and white, about their British roots – spiritually, culturally, socially, politically, economically and historically and gave them more ownership of their cultural heritage rather than the rejection or indifference that had been there
  9. Personal ministry was received by English Christians re reconciliation with families and others and some received impartations for a ministry of reconciliation. Some of the Australian team received healings in various areas also
  10. Prayer was raised up in various locations of strategic significance in the relationship between England and Australia eg where Cook was born and departed for Australia from, where the 1st fleet was built and left for Australia from etc
  11. Prophetic words and prophetic actions pointed to what God was doing spiritually which would later be seen in the natural
  12. A partnership was offered by Brian Mills to Australians who wanted to join with Britain in a ministry of reconciliation to other nations in Africa and Asia that those of British heritage exploited

These points are not necessarily in order of importance. This account is not verbatim but it is as close to it as possible without using a taperecorder.

Monday 4 Oct

On arriving at London Sunday evening we were bussed to Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire to our billeted accommodation. On Monday we drove to Hollybush Christian Fellowship for a luncheon meeting where Brian Pickering, the leader of the Australian Prayer Network explained the purpose of our trip. The pastor built a church on his farm and the farm continues to support the church financially. It is a flourishing church and receives many visits from overseas and around England. A few of us had an afternoon visit with the Mayor of Rippon. Norman and I were included in this as our hosts for the evening were the Salvation Army Officers who were the chaplains to the Mayor. We were photographed by "The Stockton Times." Our hosts then showed us the Anglican Cathedral and the Salvation Army centre.

Monday evening we went to the "Lift High the King Celebration" of a number of congregations from nearby towns and of different denominations at Hollybush Christian Fellowship. We were clapped in as we formed a procession through an archway of British who welcomed us. Brian Mills, the leader of the British team introduced the Australians in 4 groups – the Aborigines, an African Australian (later this group was extended to Australians of non-British descent), WASPS or white Anglo Saxon Protestants and the English intercessors who went to Australia in 1998. This was a return visit of the Australians. Brian Pickering, John Ives, Peter Walker, Royree Jensen, Anne Gray, Rob Oliver and Ben Gray spoke giving substantially the same message as Tuesday night, which we have recorded. Ben Gray Co-ordinator of the South Pacific Prayer Network used John 19:30 saying "It (British-Australian reconciliation) is finished" after he got Brian Mills and Brian Pickering to entwine the British and Australian flags. Ben prayed that a 3-cornered knot is not easily broken. This was a prophetic act.

Tuesday 5 Oct

While praying with our Salvation army hosts, Barbara saw the angel over Rippon with a sickle ready to be released to bring in the harvest. We then met with the rest of our group at a Leaders Breakfast at the Newlife Baptist Church in Northallerton. It was interdenominational and intercity. Brian Pickering, Co-ordinator of the Australian Prayer Network spoke. An interview was done with a newspaper and a photo taken of the Australian team.

Then we drove to Whitby where Captain Cook was born, went to school, went to church and where his ship left from for Australia. We saw a tape and slide presentation at St Mary’s church, which was very instructive of the history of the area. There was a video available. This church was very boxed in, in terms of the seating and it was where Cook and his men worshipped. Whitby is also a significant location because in the 1500’s the Celtic church and the Roman church met here to settle the date for Easter. The Roman church won. The Celtic church, which had first brought Christianity to Britain, followed the Holy Spirit more, had a freer structure and was evangelist. Their influence waned after the Council at Whitby. Local church leaders had recently met at Whitby in a Reconciliation event to try to heal some of the affect of this historic meeting. We had a reception with the Mayor of Whitby and looked at the art gallery and museum, which had items from all around the world. Norman asked the Mayor about having an exhibition of Aboriginal art there and he was interested.

The group didn’t have time to pray at Whitby but Norman and Barbara Miller walked down the 199 steps to the sea and prayed that angels would ascend and descend from heaven on these steps and the city. We prayed that everywhere we put our feet that God would take territory. We also prayed a 100-fold blessing on Whitby. Norman saw in the spirit a ship taking the gospel to Australia where before it had taken Captain Cook an felt a new relationship was being built.

We then drove to Bridlington where we had an evening meeting at Christ Church, an Anglican church. Other churches attended also. Some Celtic music was used with drums and the anointing was wonderful. There was a processional welcome again and the Australians were given a lighthouse as a present. After Brian Mills introduced us, he spoke on Hab 2 about the 5 woes. He talked about the Rum Corps in Australia and liquor being the currency in the colony. Alcohol was introduced to Aborigines to get them drunk to have their way with the women. Brian spoke about the 5 areas the British came to Australia to repent about:

  1. Aborigines
  2. Convicts
  3. Children sent from England after the war who were not orphans
  4. Australians being cannon fodder in the war as Britain sent them to the front line
  5. Economic abandonment since world war 2

Brian Pickering – God has sent us back to respond to the visit of the Brits last year. You’re our mothers and fathers. We’re your children and we honour you. We thank you for setting us free from 211 years of bondage. We’ll tell you a story and it may help free you of your bondage as a nation.

The Australians stood and clapped the English to honour them.

We usually ignore the mess the world is in. We fail to realise what’s happened in years gone by affects us now. God’s reminded us in the last 5-10 years that we can’t ignore our history. We learnt more by the British visit because they did the research. We didn’t realise what had happened. I’m sharing things you mightn’t be aware of not to condemn you but to set you free.

We didn’t realise our nation was under a curse because of how it was settled. God wants to rewrite history. You’ve got an even longer history than 211 years. We have to deal with what happened 211 years ago. It is as relevant today as then if not dealt with. Australia has had a millstone around its neck. Britain brought the gospel to Australia and we thank you, both black and white. We say thank you for democracy that’s enabled us to be a stable nation. But did you know that when you brought the gospel in this hand, you brought the sword in the other hand?

We’re a teenage nation. God said we’re ready to move into adulthood and He has a destiny and plan for us to take the gospel back to other nations but God said I won’t do that until I’ve dealt with the wounds of childhood. I talk to you as a son talking to their parent. We’ve been wounded.

Five years ago, Aboriginal people were not our brothers and sisters and wouldn’t be here with us. But we come tonight, reconciled. It’s not been completed in our nation but God has knitted us together in the prayer movement.

But we had a desperate childhood. Aborigines were massacred and raped. There was a fear they’d be completely wiped out. Deep, deep wounds. They’re still there. We have just as much to answer for as you because we perpetuated it. Only 30 years ago we recognised them as humans. In our repenting comes healing.

We’re the only nation in the world populated by rejects from another nation. We try to get back at you by beating you at sport. There are only 35 people here tonight but it’ll be felt in the spirit 12,000 miles away in Australia. How can I say that? Because the British team repented over and over again for 7 weeks in Australia and something was broken spiritually.

We’ve seen change in our nation politically. The Prime Minister said why do I need to say sorry. It wasn’t this generation that did it. But until it’s dealt with, it’s a festering sore. In Kosovo, they’ve been fighting generation after generation. They don’t know why they’re fighting anymore because it’s lost in history. They only know they hate each other.

God wants us to recognize corporate sin. We need to keep a short account not only of personal sins but also of corporate sin. You are a congregation free in the spirit but the nation is in chains. It’s OK to be proud of your history but your history has wrapped you in chains. What did it take to break chains over Australia? Two words – "I’m sorry". It’s biblical. It’s God’s way of dealing with sin. Undealt with sin becomes an abomination. Unrepented of sin is the greatest problem in the world today.

God wanted to do something more. Britain came with a broken heart and shed tears of God over our land and people. We saw the heart of God. We’ve been trying to be reconciled with our Aboriginal brothers and sisters. We said we’re sorry. We want to be friends but it didn’t work. Many Aborigines were saying ‘Reconciliation, forget about it. You talk about reconciliation but nothing has changed’. British tears watered the earth and Aboriginal people said these people are different. Reconciliation is in their hearts not just their heads. But God said ‘Your parent came and apologized. Now it’s time for you to repent. ‘The prayer movement went into a season of repentance – 9 months. The Holy Spirit gave us a start and finish date. We later realised it was 9 months, a birthing time. In the spiritual womb of our nation, God had made a transaction. We had to nurture it as a baby in the womb. At the end of the British visit, God spoke to us (2years previously) to go to Ayers Rock, the stony heart of Australia and to gather prayer leaders there at 2am 14 July and ask for two things 1. To raise up a new standard of righteousness in the land and 2. To heal the land. We know something would be born there because of the significance of 2Chron 7:14. There were 500 prayer leaders at Ayers Rock and about 500 prayer meetings were held throughout Australia. Tens of thousands of Australians set the alarm and gathered in the high places or city squares or churches or kneeled by their own beds and prayed.

God answered. We saw a spiritual change in our nation. We don’t presume on God but He told us to come back. God raised a call ‘Come home’. Many are coming back to church after 30 years or back to families. Go home to Britain and tell your parents we forgive you in each of the areas dealt with we’re going to have a representative come and forgive you.

As they said "I’m sorry’ chains fell off and we’re walking in a new freedom. Our prayer is that chains will fall off your nation also. It won’t be our words that do it but God’s spirit will. God has a destiny still for this nation. Be proud of the past but look to the future. We won’t know till we go to the Father what’s happening in spiritual during both tours.

God is rewriting the history of our nation. The British brought a pen with them and handed it over. People of God will write that history. I give you a pen in the spirit tonight to rewrite the history of your nation. History (HIS STORY) should be written by His people. We’ve come to do a transaction with you. You’re here tonight not just as individuals but as British citizens. But some of you have sins that have torn your family apart. Deal with the original root sin and repent or forgive.

Then 5 Australians representing the 5 areas of sin/repentance/forgiveness spoke. John Ives of the Australian Prayer Network said – My great great, great grandfather was born in Trent in the 1700’s. His son was called Jonathan and his son and his son etc were all called John and were all builders. Mary Ann Clifford my great, great grandmother went to Australia for stealing a goose. Brian Mills said to me when I first met him ‘do you come from Australia?’ and I said ‘a few generations ago your mob sent my mob out here.’ Brian wept. If I saw a Pom on TV, a unionist whingeing, I’d say "Go home". I started to examine my own racism. I wouldn’t allow myself to cry before because I had a hard heart but it’s soft now. I weep lots now. I love you and I wept at your welcome tonight. Thank you and I extend forgiveness to you. I didn’t want to come to England but it’s been a blessing.

Pastor Peter Walker, President of Praise Corroboree introduced the Aboriginal delegation – Pastor Angus Binge, Pastor Bill Hollingsworth, Pastor Norman Miller, Pastor Lloyd Hollingsworth, Muriel Olssen, and Mabel Puller. He spoke of how Aboriginal people were targeted with racism so that there were times he didn’t want to identify as Aboriginal. On Tuesday night Peter spoke about Naman how he wanted to be healed but didn’t want to stoop down and bathe in the river as the prophet instructed. Peter said see God in us. Don’t just look at our flesh. Peter said some Aboriginal people had Scottish, Irish, Welsh or English backgrounds. We forgive you.

Pastor Royree Jensen, the Southern Cross, an Aussie Church – Acts 17:26. My ancestors were sent to Australia by magistrates who were some of the best magistrates of all time. After the war British orphans were sent out to Australia. It was later discovered many weren’t orphaned and they’d be my vintage today. We did the same thing to Aborigines. We forgive you, just don’t do it again. She read out a poem.

Anne Gray, South Pacific Prayer Network – When Roger Mitchell visited Australia to set things up for the British visit, we talked to him in Toowoomba. I had a pen in my hand. I wrote Our Father is in heaven, Britannia rules the waves. Give us our daily bread and we’ll give it to the Aboriginal people with poison in it. Trade – right relationships with one another. What’s it like to be 10 months pregnant? The farmers had crops and the fruit was ready but they couldn’t trade with it. Last night I battled with wanting to jump out of a car and commit suicide and when I got to the meeting I found I was to speak on trade and I knew why. People in Britain wept last night because you’re now experiencing what we did. I saw a sign ‘this pew reserved for family and friends being confirmed’. This is a prophetic statement – confirmation we’re becoming family and friends.

Rob Oliver – My head says to my heart ‘I don’t trust you.’ And I had to say rack off. One week ago, I stood on shores of Anzac Cove. There were memorials of young men who’d died. I wore a black shirt for mourning. I’d never shed tears on Anzac Day. I came upon a headstone saying J.W. Berriman, 18 years, my mum’s name. Many went willingly. We went to Lone Pine and had a communion service there. We had a young guy from Britain ask for forgiveness for sending Australians. An older lady in our team forgave her. My mother and grandmother talk of what it was like to live with a man who couldn’t speak of the horror of war. He was changed. I identify with the young men, mothers who lost their sons and families who lived with those who returned. I forgive you, bless you and honour you and forgive you. Joseph said you or satan intended it for evil but God for good to accomplish the saving of many lives.

Pastor Ben Gray, South Pacific Prayer Network – Six years ago October, 300 people were in Korea. Two men from this nation got the finger of God pointed at then, one of them is here - Brian Mills. We're here tonight because they dared to believe and push aside their theological understandings. We're here representing the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit. This nation is beginning to feel unravelling, breaking of a curse. You’re making history. You’ll look back on this in 4-5 years time and mark this moment of history as a pilgrimage. I’d like to say everything is perfect and Australia is in revival. I’ve been her a number of times. This time I came back knowing I had roots in county Durham. I’m called a Jordy, my place built fleets.

I flew in here from Turkey. That’s where it all began where the church was born and came alive – Anatollia. We celebrated at the Ephesus amphitheatre. God’s going to shake this nation like Turkey. The Holy Spirit gave me 3 words to say from John 19:30. It’s totally out of context. Jesus was on the cross and thirsty. They gave him vinegar and wine. It was bitter. Jesus said "It is finished". Colin Towers and Brian Mills come out and kneel. They came with a vile mixture with the sins you as a nation had committed. It was vile but a release because they were asking for repentance and forgiveness. (Ben draped a flag over them and asked Muriel and Angus and Brian Pickering to stand by them.) And I say to you Great Britain 3 prophetic words IT IS FINISHED. Lift the flag off. Australian is now off your back.

Psalm 85. I pray this. Kiss this nation and let love and faithfulness meet together. Let your church in this nation be one of righteousness. Kiss this nation. Resuscitate it. Let there be a harvest of souls. Restore, restore, restore this nation and bring freedom. The shofar was blown by Norman and others and there was an altar call for those who wanted a ministry of reconciliation.

Wednesday 6 Oct

We travelled from Bridlington, Humberside to York. We visited Castle Hill, Minister and Shambles. There is a Viking Centre in York. During the Roman occupation of Britain, York was a thriving well-defended settlement containing the army headquarters from which the Romans administered the north of England. These were the first buildings on the Minster site. It is not known when Christianity first arrived in the city but by 306 when Constantine the Great was proclaimed Roman Emperor in York (of all places), it is probable that there was a small Christian community among those who proclaimed him. In 312, he issued a general edict of toleration for the Christian church. Archbishop Egbert who ruled from 732 to 766 hugely expanded the cathedral school and library, which became famous throughout the Christian world. A period of Viking occupation with its pagan influence followed. Later some Benedictine monks of Danish origin ruled in York. After the Battle of Hastings in 1066, the first Norman archbishop was consecrated at York in 1070. There are two archbishops in England, the archbishop of Canterbury who has overall rulership and the archbishop of York who has a similar role but not quite as encompassing role. York is the administrative centre of northern England.

We prayed as a group at Clifford’s Tower. In 1190 the castle was destroyed by a mob of antisematic rioters in an attempt to massacre a group of local Jews who had taken refuge within. The Jews eventually chose to commit mass suicide rather than burn to death, dying at each other’s hand as a plaque at the base of the tower recounts. Pastor Norman Miller led the group in repentance for the death of the Jew and antisemitism. Norman read Isaiah 62 and blew the shofar. He was in much travail. Pastor Barbara Miller repented of the crusades because English involvement had been initiated by Richard 11 from York and she prayed against a spirit of death over England. Hiliary Moroney an Australian Jew with English roots accepted the repentance.

Barbara led the group in repentance outside a pauper’s prison for the punishment of the poor and prayed for reconciliation between rich and poor. Hiliary prayed at St George’s Field where women were strapped in a stool and plunged three times into the river for offences such as using false measures, brewing bad beer or excessive scolding. Whip-Ma-whop-Ma-Gate was the location of a pillory and whipping cart where the city’s petty criminals were publicly flogged. We saw the house of Margaret Clitherow, the wife of a butcher who was tried and crushed to death in 1586 when she refused to renounce the Catholic faith.

We then visited Melbourne and continued to Burton-on-Trent where we had an evening meeting. The meeting here was similar to the first two nights with Brian Pickering doing the major sharing after an introduction by Brian Mills and then 5 presenters saying "I forgive you" on the 5 main points. (This time Muriel Olssen presented instead of Royree Jensen because Royree and Dave Jensen went to Scotland for about 24 hours to research and pray for the area where Logan came from. Royree and Dave live in the city of Logan, part of Brisbane and the local council wants to change its name because of the problems there. Royree found the family crest of Logan, which has a heart with a nail piercing it. No wonder there have been many pierced hearts in Logan in the past.)

Muriel shared how she had counselled the British so-called orphans who’d been sent to Australia and their pain of rejection. She also shared that she was a stolen child and could empathise with them. Barbara Miller shared instead of Anne Gray because Anne wasn’t well. Barbara said that when Britain abandoned Australia to trade with Europe, farmers and businessmen in Australia became bankrupt, families split up and many became suicidal. She read Amos 8 and part of Amos 9. Barbara then read out a prophecy for Britain that she received in July 1998:

"O Britannia, you once said you ruled the waves, that you ruled the kingdoms of the world and I brought you low, but I am going to raise you up again. I’m going to raise you up again. You went out as missionaries to the world to bring My word, but that word was twisted and a lot of pain and suffering occurred when you brought My word to the indigenous people of the world.

Right now, your intercessors in Britain are on their knees in repentance. Your intercessors are crying out to Me and I have heard – a repentance on behalf of your nation O Britain and I am answering that prayer.

And I am going to bring a mighty rain upon the country of Britain, a mighty rain such as they have never seen and every person will be drenched with the rain of My Spirit. Not all will accept it, but many will and many will come in repentance before Me, O Britain, because you are My beloved daughter O Britain, My beloved daughter and I want you for Myself again. I thank you that your intercessors have come to Me in prayer on your behalf O nation of Britain to repent of your sins, and I have accepted that repentance and I will renew you. I will refresh you.

You thought your days of rulership were gone. Your thought that your daughter America had taken over from you, but I am bringing times of refreshing, and I am bringing a new authority, a new rulership upon you in the spirit where you can reign in My kingdom at My side says the Lord.

This time not to have dominion over other nations but to administer My godly justice among the nations, ruling at My right hand. Britain, I have brought you down and I am raising you up again.

And when your intercessors come to Australia soon to repent of the sins of their country to white and black Australians, I will pour out such a rain upon Australia, as you have never seen. And I’m going to pour out such a rain on Britain, as you have never seen. For My people, I’ve told you before when you come before Me and repent and pray humbly and you seek My face, then I will hear from heaven and I will break the drought and I will bring the rain."

Ben Gray in a prophetic act anointed Brian Mills as a prophet to Britain and Peter Walker anointed Brian as a prophet to the nations reading Jeremiah 1.

Thursday 7 Oct

We travelled to Birmingham and met with Prayer For Revival (PFR) leaders, operating since 1986. We were introduced to Jane Holloway who coordinates prayer for the UK. We met Ian and Pauline Cole (Ian is PFR leader), Bryan Pullinger who was coordinating for Brian Mills, Bob and Di Dunnit (Bob is Ian’s spiritual dad), Paul Miller, Brian and Jenny Pullinger, Colin Boyce, David Townsend Anne Stevenson, Steve and Sue Raymond and others. We paired off and prayed for people. Barbara prayed for Jane Holloway and saw a red carpet rolled out for her to walk on and take dominion over the nation of Britain and rule with the Lord over His enemies and uphold His righteousness and justice. Barbara also saw a map of Britain with JESUS printed over it in large letters like a banner.

Ian Cole said that Birmingham is 120 miles from London and started in 1304 as a trading point between London and Coventry. He said the spirit of the city is innovative and they design things. 25% of the exports of Britain are from there. The city also has an independent spirit – we can do it. We don’t need London. Birmingham is a city of over 1,000 trades and it is becoming a service centre with national conventions. It has one of the top 3 symphony halls in the world. Birmingham brought people from around the world eg the West Indians to work in menial jobs in the factories. When factories closed down, it created a group of struggling people. 24% of the population is ethnic minorities. There is a large Muslim population and there are also Hindus, Sikhs, and Buddhists. There is a Hindu World Prayer Centre in Birmingham seating 3,000 and a Muslim Centre, which seats 6,000.

Brian Pickering - We come from all states of Australia and across denominations. Australia has not had revival as a nation but only in pockets. Aborigines have had revival. Why haven’t we experienced revival? Because our nation has been under a curse of unrepented sin. That curse has now been broken as the British came and repented so we are expecting revival. We’re no longer Aboriginal and white but one in the spirit.

Pastor Bill Hollingsworth – I’ve been on a journey since 1977 and only last night I saw the reason. The Lord told me to wait on him for 12 months. I lived in faith. The Lord told me not to beg bread. I went into the NAC (National Aboriginal Congress). I said what about the church attitude to politics? The Lord said answer to me not them. We need to be priests in the order of Melchizedek not in the levitical order. Jesus ministered outside the temple. In the Good Samaritan story, the levite couldn’t minister to him because they were ministering under a structure that forbade them. The Samaritan could minister because he was free but it cost him and that’s Melchidizek. I’ve been trying to preach this for 22 years. He who would be the greatest must be the servant. Why do revivals peter out? Hebrews. The Old Testament structure couldn’t bring people to perfection. God changed the priesthood. He’s the author and finisher of our faith, the alpha and omega. The centre stage belongs to Jesus but we put tradition and structure there. Why do we have times of refreshing and don’t go on? The Whitby desolation. I’d always wondered where in history things changed back to the levitical priesthood. In Hebrews 7 it says Jesus was out of the tribe of Judah not the priesthood tribe.

Norman Miller – the Lord gave me this word "1999 Godly divine, My glory, My glory will shine". The Lord likes the RE words – remove things not of Him, repair, restore and bring revival. Most important is our relationship with Him. In John 14:1 Jesus said he would come back. A boomerang comes back. In Gen 28 we read of the angels ascending and descending in Jacob’s dream. The Lord is in this place. Barbara and I prayed the angels would ascend and descend the steps at Whitby as we went down the 199 steps to the sea. The 199 steps plus the first step we took is 200. We prayed a 100-fold blessing on the town. 100 x 200 = 2000, the year 2000. Cook was involved with birthing of the European settlement of Australia. God’ll birth a new landing for the new millenium. We prophetically declare that God will heal this place. We’ll build a ship in partnership prophetically and build it with a new flag and launch into the new millenium together, returning the good news to Australia. Norman, Brian and Ben built a ship using the British, Australian, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags as a prophetic act.

We then had a meeting at the World Prayer Centre planning office where Ian Cole told us of his vision for it, which he received 9 years ago. It is planned to have a globe of the world in the centre and a boulevard of the flags of the world around it with information on different countries for people to pray about. There will be a 1000 seat auditorium, 87 prayer closets, a research room, a prayer chapel, prayer rooms, accommodation, a coffee shop, a restaurant, a bookshop and a family centre where families can have fun together. It would have a dome on top. It will cost 100 million pounds and it will take 5 years to build. They already have a map of the world with pins on it of where people are praying for the World Prayer Centre. One room already has the flags of some nations in it plus stones from around the world and a display on Israel with prayer points. Ian said while he was in the US for the opening of the World Prayer Centre in Colorado Springs, an Australian had given him a ring and said that the Commonwealth would bless the World Prayer Centre and that Australia would give $10 million to it. Norman said privately to Ian that he believed the World Prayer Centre would be blessed if it supported indigenous ministries in Australia.

That evening we had a meeting at the Birmingham Christian Centre. Paul Miller had a prophetic word that there are two train tracks going in opposite directions, one slowing down and old and the other a fast one. The slipstream of the fast train turned the slow train around. The old train is the church and the prayer movement is the express train and it was turning the church around 180 degrees but the old train never caught up. It was always in the slipstream so the church will never catch up with the prayer movement.

A second vision he had was that cake was being made in a bowl and the Lord was hand whisking it. Prayer was beating up the cake. Brown powder was put in. It was bitter. There was pain and suffering with it. Prayer whisks the sin in . Then more brown bitter powder was mixed in. This speaks of how reconciliation transforms sins. The third vision was of a brown chocolate cake transformed into very sweet candles around the rim like nations. It was a birthday cake for the Lord. Some candles were in the middle. It was a birthday present for the son – all the nations. The 3 or 4 candles in the middle were not lit. When they were, it’d be time for the Lord’s return. There was a prayer of repentance for the church.

Brian Mills and Brian Pickering shared a similar message to the other nights. Peter Walker - When I went to the Alice Springs convention last year it was so dry I asked the Lord for a sign of rain. It came and there were reports of rain all year. I called a National Day of Prayer. When sin is broken, the dryness goes. He sang "It’s beginning to rain".

John Ives - There were 600 nations of Aborigines in Australia but they were not united. The British used that and used the native police to bring hatred between the nations. Angus brought together Aborigines at Moree for a meeting last year and because there was more than one tribe, all hell broke loose outside the meeting and I stood between them. Eventually the two groups led us together in worship and God broke something that night. Aborigines that wouldn’t go to Slaughterhouse Creek before went with us that day and wept and embraced white people and God then gave me openings to walk amongst Aborigines that I didn’t have before.

At Ernabella I met Kenyon McKenzie, a clever fella, a witchdoctor and God knitted us together and he gave his heart back to the Lord. When we went to Ayers Rock, he said "write my story. When I was a young boy, my family was very hungry. I stole a bag of flour and white people were shooting at me so I speared him and was jailed for 8 years. I need to forgive. Will you forgive me?"

There is an opportunity for us to go with humility and put out our hand. It didn’t just happen when the British came but it was a great leap forward when they came. I was at a conference in January and prayed with the Elcho Islanders every morning. They said they decided to adopt me and gave me a name. So pray for the unity of Aborigines in our nation. God wants to raise these Aboriginal men of God here tonight. They’ve been raised in the womb of adversity.

Brian Pickering – shared a similar but inspiring message to previous nights. There was a prayer over Aborigines - I won’t leave you as orphans. Come home to the Father. Let them know the blessing of the Father. The Aboriginal team were anointed with oil. An Abraham anointing was prayed over Bill Hollingsworth.

Ben Gray – The altar call consisted of asking the British as a group to yell come home to their lost. (However they were too reserved and were told by John Ives to do it again. Jehoash’s 3 arrows were mentioned. He stopped too soon. He could have annihilated his enemy. Then there was a "coee" three times.) We come in the opposite spirit. We come with the key to unlock the jailer over this nation. We come with angels, with the Lord of hosts to shatter the gates of the enemy over this land. We come to loosen the destiny of those in this nation and those to come after them. We come to bind evil because we are light. We come to expose religious spirits and demonization across this nation. We say to all those who oppose the name of Jesus your days are numbered from this day. Rise up and pull down. We prophetically enter a new phase as they step off the boat and walk on the water of new revelation.

John Ives – We say "Come on Aussie come on " before cricket. Say "Come on" then "Come home". Debra Williams said they needed to call out "Open the door". The key to the Lord said Debra is humility and total abandonment.

Friday 8 Oct

We travelled from Birmingham to Oxford where we had a reception at Church House with Bishop Mike Hill and then we travelled on to Portsmouth. Charles Darwin and the 1st fleet both sailed from here. The 9th templar, a precursor to the masons laid the foundations of the Cathedral. Witches stand on Porsdown hill and curse the city. It is the birthplace of satanism in England. It was also the headquarters of the East India Company who traded in alcohol and drugs and were involved with slavery. At Porsdown Hill Hiliary Moroney led a prayer about Wilfred of Rippon who was a celtic monk who went to Rome and studied religion and because of his credibility as a celt persuaded the council at Whitby to accept the Roman church’s date for Easter. He came from Portsmouth.

Norman Miller declared 2 Kings 2:19-22 over the place. This was where the water was bad and the land unproductive and Elijah used salt and it healed the water and he said never again would the water cause death or the land be unproductive. He also said the pastors needed to wash each others feet to bring healing.

Royree Jensen stood on a picnic table and asked the other women to join her. She said that the men were controlling the situation and that the women needed to be released. Some women joined eg Anne, Margaret, Hiliary, Jan, Muriel and others and some didn’t. (Norman and Barbara were supportive of women being released more and stood behind Royree praying silently. Norman prayed over a number of women individually during the trip to release them more into their giftings and callings.) Peter Walker repented to women but warned about a Jezebel spirit. Royree honoured him and prophecied over him that God would use him in this area. Then Brian Mills put his arms around Peter and repented for the men also. Then Hiliary, standing with Royree, repented for the ungodly attitudes of women. John Swindoll said we’re all on the same level and gave Royree a hand to get down.

Peter Walker talked about the sweet thing taken out of the carcass of the lion and out of death could come something good. He used the illustration from Sampson.

We had an evening meeting at the Beacon church Havant. All the Australian were in a bunch with the British having their arms linked around us and Brian Mills praying "we love you." Barbara Miller gave a prophetic word "As a rolling stone gathers moss, I have formed a bowling ball with this reconciliation tour that will get bigger and stronger and will bowl over the plans of the enemy and shatter the plans of the enemy" says the Lord.

The Australians sang Amazing Grace as we did a number of times on the trip. Peter Walker sang a song and said many will grieve tonight and it’ll move us to compassion to bring big changes eg when Jesus said to Peter, do you love me three times and Peter was grieved. But he changed and he went on to have 3,000 people saved at Pentecost.

Pastor Lloyd Hollingsworth - Some Aborigines have roots in England too. As an Aboriginal I’ve picked up the Aussie anti-Pom attitudes. I was healed too in Canberra when the British came. I haven’t said Pommy since. Coming here completes the healing process. The 25 Brits kneeled in dirt and grass in bush in Canberra in a number of places and touched me. On Tuesday night I realised I’ve come home. I’ve been overwhelmed by the welcome – many old ladies put their arms around me. It doesn’t happen in Australia. The Holy Ghost said to me I was like the prodigal who has come home. As Joseph said what happened was intended for evil but God intended it for good.

Brian Pickering, the main speaker for all our meetings gave a similar message to what he gave other towns. His main point was 2 words "we’re sorry" said by the Brits broke the curse over Australia and the Australians now come with 3 words "We forgive you" which will break the curse over England if received. The pastor of the church repented and then a man came and hugged Norman and repented so the pastor suggested we all do that.

The pastor prophecied and read Mal 4:5-6. See a video for the whole prophecy as we probably only got 85-90% of it. "I’m doing more than you imagined. I’m releasing into you the heart of the Father. As you’ve completed the circle, you’ll go back in the spirit and power of Elijah and you’ll declare----- and see a restoration of fatherhood causing hearts to turn to the children----. Cry out o me that the spirit of fathering will return to your nation. Tonight I release that spirit of Elijah, a prophetic spirit. You’ll see men and women and the community healed."

A Uganda brother read Psalm 147 and said the Lord blinds up and gathers outcasts and heals the brokenhearted.

Saturday 9 Oct

In the morning, we visited Portsmouth docks. We saw the Commissioners building where Captain Philip got his orders from for Australia and St Anne’s church where they had a service before they left. We also saw the large storehouses used to supply the 1st fleet and the colony of NSW. The reason Australia was colonised we were told by the naval officer tour guide was because the USA became independent and Britain couldn’t send convicts there any more. The French fleet plus 35,000 French troops helped the USA in its independence war. This was an arrangement with the French King before the French Revolution. An Englishman bombed the docks to help the USA win the war and he was hanged. They then tore up his body and covered it in pitch and put him in a cage on display for about 80 years. Australia was meant to become a naval base and a half way place from which to take the Pacific islands. The newly developed chronometer plus mapping enabled people to find their way back to Australia. The saying "Britannia rules the waves" and the superiority of the British navy was very important to Britain historically. A lot of shipbuilding has always occurred in this area. The naval estimates are 22 billion pounds. We saw the Victory building, home of the 2nd Sea Lord. He has a staff of over 500.

There were a number of warships there including the Syrius warship which accompanied the first fleet to Australia. It was named after the Syrius star which represents Christianity. The symbol had a crescent moon underneath the star. Richard brought this symbol back from the crusades. He turned it upside down to represent Christianity being above Islam. The Syrius warship was adopted by the city of Portsmouth. The Victory warship had 3 mortuaries because often 200-300 men were trapped below after it was torpedoed. It has 105 guns. Nelson (Battle of Trafalgar) was the last Admiral of the Victory.

In the afternoon, we went to the 2 rings monument that was erected to the 1st fleet that went to Australia from Portsmouth. Beforehand as we ate lunch, a boat of Australians in green and gold came in to the harbour. This was believed to be a prophetic sign of our visit. The monument was built to symbolise friendship between Portsmouth and Sydney and the birth of a great nation according to the plaque. Apparently there is a similar monument in Sydney. The group were asked what they felt God was speaking to them that needed to take place on this site. Brian Pickering said that as the convicts who went to Australia went through this gateway to the boats, we’d come up off the beach and in through the gate in the opposite direction. We’d come in as sons and daughters coming home. English pastor John Swindoll said he had a ring given to him in Brazil that was important to him prophetically and he felt to exchange it with an Australian. Sue Allen from Australia said she had her husband’s ring on a chain around her neck and she’d give it to a Brit. (Her husband was British but he has passed on).

Peter Walker said that the truth sets you free and Australia’s nationhood did not just involve Britain and Australia. He said he had to speak for those Aboriginals who had no British heritage who would not feel part of this and not identify as sons and daughters coming home. Barbara said Australia is not a European nation. There were 600 Aboriginal nations there before European arrival. She said while she agreed with the exchange of rings, there needed to be Aboriginal involvement in the ceremony. So much of what has been said on the visit had been in Eurocentric terms. Norman said honour needed to be paid to the apostolic mothers and fathers of the Australia – the Aboriginal people. Norman read in Genesis about Joseph, how he was raised up and given a signet ring of authority and his coat of many colours etc. Anne Gray said she agreed and that Aboriginals needed to come through the gateway first then white Australians. Lloyd said a communion service needed to be held and then the wine poured on the ground to heal the land.

The prophetic prayer event started with Norman praying to honour the apostolic mothers and fathers of the Australian nation – the Aboriginal people. The Aboriginal group were standing with the Aboriginal flag. Norman suggested we all touch the yellow circle so we could have Aborigines involved as well in the wedding ceremony as the circle was like a gold ring. However this may not have been heard and didn’t eventuate. Norman suggested making an altar with some of the stones on the beach but this was not taken up. (We collected 12 to use in Australia to build an altar in our church). Angus Binge read from Isaiah 40 and Ruth Bath from Isaiah 26. Lloyd poured healing oil on the ground. As another prophetic sign, a boat called "The Pride of Portsmouth " sailed out of the harbour. Then we walked towards the gate with Anne using her coat of many colours to pave the way by brushing it on the ground. Brian and Ben said they’d come last as they represented authority. (Brian Mills had to miss most of the event because he had to do a radio interview instead of Roger Mitchell who was held up in London traffic.) When we came through the gate, Peter said like Ruth "Your people are my people and your God is my God". The Brits embraced the Australians saying "welcome home". John Swindoll said thanks to the Aboriginal mothers and fathers who looked after the British children Britain had abandoned.

Near the two rings monument, John gave his ring, a symbol of a new covenant and a righteous marriage to John Ives, a son of a convict and Sue gave her ring to Colin Towers. Then we had a communion service led by Lloyd and he poured the wine on the ground afterwards. Norman led us in "All Heavens Declare" and then we all held hands together around the monument and sang. As the third prophetic sign the wedding bells of a nearby church rang and doves were seen. John Swindoll said he’d try to get the wording on the plaque changed in line with comments Aboriginal people had made.

At the Oasis church Portsmouth Saturday night, Brian asked us to form an arrow with the spearhead consisting of Bill Hollingsworth in front, behind him Peter and Angus and behind them Muriel, Mabel, Lloyd, Norman and Barbara. The other Australians were to form the shaft of the arrow and the British intercessors who’d been to Australia the tail. This was a prophetic statement.

Muriel Olssen - I had to accept when I got here I’m black and white. I have English and Scottish heritage. Phillip Yancey said the past must be remembered before it is overcome. John Dawson said the greatest wounds in history are not caused by individuals but by nations. As a child I was taken away from my parents. We had no food or water for 300 miles. My mother who accompanied us was in a foetal position. At Oodnadatta, the missionary took us in but didn’t care about my mother. She faded away in the darkness, too frightened to return. I was told she didn’t care about me. Thirty-two years later my husband took me and our 2 kids back. I had 32 years of questions to ask and no common language. It was like another knife in the heart because we could say nothing to each other but they helped us physically. I looked after my dying mum. She was blind so she never saw me.

Mabel Puller - My mother was taken from her mum and my dad from his mum. I used to hang my head and kick stones. I heard at school "If you’re white, you’re right, if you’re brown stick around, if you’re black stand back". Mum was always on her own. Mum used to scrub white people’s floors. I couldn’t mix with my own. I was afraid. The Lord spoke to me 2 years ago, go back to my kind of people. I long to go to my people but I couldn’t . The Holy Spirit said it was what mum went through. I’ve always been with white people. My mum never enjoyed her people or knew them. She was robbed of it so I’m going through life the same. My pastor told me I was prejudiced but I said no I’m afraid. The Holy Spirit told me to release my mum and dad and the past. I need to find my identity. My dad was taken from the South Sea Islands as a boy to Australia. This is the first time I’ve ever associated with my own people. I thank God for a lady here who enabled me to come or I’d be back in Australia ministering to white people.

Brian Pickering – We’ve learnt something deep in our psyche about what it means to oppress. We had three God incidences today. An Australian ship sailed into the harbour, a British ship named the "Pride of Portsmouth" sailed out and wedding bells rang as we exchanged rings between our nations.

Anne Gray – Gave a white stone to Brian Mills and another to Roger Mitchell. Anne said they’d visited the 7 churches in Turkey and she’d picked up the white stones there. They showed innocence. She said they symbolized the shattering of the millstone over Britain.

Ben Gray – There was an altar built today not of stones but of living stones. Portsmouth has been an altar of pride. It has shipped division all round the world. It has been an altar of pride and injustice and our forebears were left to a life they had no control over. David when building an altar was offered materials for free. But he said no I need to pay a price. The British team has paid a price to lift the millstone off the nation of Britain. A new altar of life has been built, a marrying of peoples, an altar that honours destiny and integrity an truth. No more is the city of Portsmouth to be accursed in the nations. It will first receive fruit for this nation. This city that has known division and strife.

2 Sam. As today a new altar is built for this city we paid a price also to mix our sacrifice. The Australians also paid a price. The Lord has answered our prayer on behalf of the land and a plague on all Israel is stopped. A plague and blight on your government, church and he will stop that plague because he loves and He’s brought us back to say I’ll heal and I’ll hold the hand of the devourer. I ask the British team to come out and pastors and leaders of this city behind them. Line up behind them those who are willing to pay the price and sacrifice for your city. (Prayer took place.)

Sunday 10 Oct

For the Sunday morning service, we were at the Beacon Church Havant again. Brian Mills read Malachi 4 with Brian Pickering. Brian Mills talked about a wedding ring and Ireland who were the spiritual forefathers of England. We say Brits but we’ve got to discover our identity as English. There’s a harvest in the world but Europe is the unrevived continent because of unrepented sin. In introducing the Aborigines, Brian Mills asked the fathers and mothers of Australia to stand up.

Peter Walker – Hezekiah dealt with the bronze snake that was an idol for 500 years or more and came from the wilderness. National tradition and pride can be an idol stopping us getting the blessing of God. When the Syrian king confronted Hezekiah, the word of the Lord came saying o virgin daughter of Zion (England) I will put a hook in the nose of your enemy. Can you say that to your economic and social problems? God has put a hook in the nose of the enemy.

Brian Pickering - shared the purpose of our visit and particularly about prophetic signs and words eg "Come home" which was the most prophetic statement to come out of Ayers Rock and the three prophetic signs at Portsmouth, the two boats and the wedding bells.

Sue Allen – I ran an Aboriginal pre-school till recently and I’m here to tell the children why we came. (The children were really involved with praise and worship at this church with a number of large handmade drums and various instruments and streamers and songs.) I have 2 stories. God moved powerfully in our children and they all had Jesus in their heart and they were spirit filled. Then something terrible happened. A little girl came with a black eye because she said the name of Jesus. I said Lord what have I done to cover these children? I prayed with her. She prayed "Jesus please go into my mum’s heart so she’ll understand". A boy came with a split lip because he was talking about Jesus all the time. The girl told him to pray for his father and his father became a member of staff. It was through the prayer of the children the parents came to see their sign. We are your children come here to heal this land through Jesus.

Children are not the church of tomorrow they are the church of today. Just as the boy came to the Lord with everything he had – 5 barley loaves – it fed 3,000. I lifted hereditary curses off my children at preschool. We need to lay hands on these children.

Bill Hollingsworth – 1 Peter:1-2, Heb 12:22-24.

There’s power in the blood. There’s a river of blood from Eden to Revelation. The blood of Abel cries out for revenge. The blood of Jesus cries out for forgiveness. Jesus is the last Adam.

Roger Mitchell – On the 1st fleet that left Portsmouth were many teenagers and young adults and we took them in chains and kicked them out. A 14 year old boy with no parents was ill and nicked a book to buy medicine. He spent 3 months in jail and then 3 years on a prison ship. He was then deported from Portsmouth to Australia. When we left England to go to Australia, we retraced the steps of the convicts through the gate to the beach. Someone said we should pick up stones. We picked up a stone each and prayed over it and found someone in Australia to repent to. It burned in my hand. I think of the teenagers in Portsmouth now. What you sew, you reap. They’re under the same rejection. I thought of my oldest son who was away from God for 3 years. I prayed and 10 days later my son rang and said I want to come home. Young ones in this room who feel you want to go for God but feel there’s pressure against it come out as we want to pray with you. God wants to heal you.

Barbara Miller – Word The Lord says "As a nation you have been griped in the vice of sin but I release you from the prison of your sin and just as I raise Joseph from the prison to rulership in Egypt, I am raising the church of Britain from prison to spiritual authority in the nation of Britain." Barbara prayed to impart and release this word particularly over the youth.

Ben Gray – a marriage produces children. Parents who need children to come home to them or the Lord stand up and Australians pray for them.

We continued on to London by bus and had a meeting at Freedom’s Ark in Bruce Grove. It is a Nigerian church. Norman and Barbara were asked to share. Barbara - Norman and I went to Reconciliation 97 Conference at Coventry in August 97 and I had a dream followed by a vision where the Lord asked me to forgive the British and repent for the anti-authority, rebellious and anti-Pommy attitude of Australians because of its convict settlement and for Norman to forgive the British for the murder, rape, theft of land etc that occurred in Australia and repent for Aboriginal resentment towards the British. So we feel like forerunners for what is happening this trip. While we were in England then the Lord gave us a vision for holding an International Conference on Reconciliation and Peace in Cairns and setting up a fulltime Centre for International Reconciliation and Peace in Cairns. The following year the British intercessors came to Australia and were part of our conference which was part of their Australian tour.

Barbara read Ruth 1:16-17 "…Where you go I will go and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die and there I will be buried…" I can say this to Norman’s mum, Shirley and to him. I felt some rejection by my family but a wonderful acceptance from Norman’s family. Even though I’m white, I’m part of an Aboriginal family. I became a Christian in 1970 and in 1971, the Springbok all white rugby team came to Australia. We had a rally against apartheid and along with others, I was pushed down a hill in Springhill, Brisbane. I asked myself " what is it like for Aboriginal people in this country?" and realised I didn’t know any. So I looked for some and I became friendly with Cheryl Buchanan and Denis Walker.

Later they had a child who was taken from them and adopted to a couple who moved to England. He grew up there and had a child. At 23 years of age, Cheryl tracked him down and arranged for him to visit his family. When he returned to England he had trouble dealing with his identity having met his father who was in jail on a firearms charge, his mother who was a respected activist and community worker and his brothers and sisters who were part of a famous cultural dance group. He was run over by a bus. It was believed to be suicide. There was a battle between Cheryl and his adoptive mother as to if Ilych would be buried in England or Australia or if he’d be cremated. The court decided he would be buried in England for the sake of his daughter and girlfriend. Cheryl was not allowed to attend the funeral in Norwich. Cheryl lost him in life and also lost him in death. This story is important to me because Ilych’s parents were the first two Aboriginal people I met.

But God can redeem situations. I was rejected and misunderstood by my parents and I probably didn’t understand them but I have a wonderful sense of belonging with Aboriginal people. When I married into Norman’s family it was like coming home. My first husband, Mick Miller, who was an Aboriginal leader who has now passed on came to England many years ago to work for reconciliation and he met RTZ to talk about mining on Aboriginal land.

Norman Miller – 2 Cor 5:17-24. God has given us a ministry of reconciliation and a message of reconciliation. When I was due to marry Barbara, her mum wouldn’t come to the wedding even though she hadn’t met me. In fact she refused to meet me. It was simply on the basis that I am Aboriginal. I was very hurt by this and I felt bitter. I prayed long and hard for the Lord to forgive me and change me and help me to love my mother in law. The Lord dealt with my heart. After a year we were visiting Brisbane so we went out to Ipswich to see mum. When she opened the door, I hugged her and said "I love you mum" and she melted. She came to visit us after that and spent 5 weeks with us with me waiting on her hand and foot every day and putting fresh flowers in her room every day. She’d never been treated so well. When it came time for her to go she said to Barbara "Can I take him with me?" I don’t call her my mother in law. I call her mum and she’s been to visit us many times since. Even when people hurt us though we’ve done nothing wrong, we need to ask God to deal with our attitudes so healing can come to the relationship and reconciliation can occur.

Brian Pickering shared the purpose of our visit. Ben Gray – (Peter at his side) This is not tokenism. It is partnership. I was overcome that I do have roots here. I’m a Jordy and my folks helped build the 2nd fleet. At Colin’s church I weeped for something of a lost identity. When I flew in here from Turkey, I asked the Lord what’s my role as part of the team and He showed me Jesus on the cross having that bitter sweet release after taking the vinegar mixed with wine. He said "It is finished". I ask God to restore favour and joy to you and a rich harvest for you, that you’d feel worthy of God’s embrace. Don’t return to your folly. Walk into your destiny to the nations.

The inscription on the two rings monument said "A great nation was born" but there has now been a marriage of nations. God’s knitting our hearts, a rich tapestry of partnership come for this time, carrying reconciliation and love. It’s not just you Brits walking over the earth, it’s going to be all of us, a team of nations, not just our two nations.

Peter Walker – (Sang "He touched me") Light exposes sin. I could tell you about hurts but it happened in many nations. What’s the process? Mat 18:15 1. Go tell your brother if there’s a fault.2. Repentance and forgiveness. Satan trembles. Whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven. It breaks his hold over a nation. What we loose here is loosed in heaven. Brian and Roger stand. On behalf of my people I forgive you.

Royree Jensen – When Roger came to my church last year on the reconciliation tour I was caught on the hop and didn’t know his surname so I introduced him as Roger the dodger who had come to say sorry and it’s better late than never. (there were a few chuckles). Royree sang a song about reconciliation written by the kids in her church to the tune of Waltzing Matilda with and her husband Dave presented Roger with a frame containing photos of his trip and a poem on reconciliation.

Roger Mitchell – We sent kids of 14 or 15 away who’d knicked something small and didn’t have a mum or dad to look after them but tonight we want to commission this group. They’ve come back here to a Britain that’s changed. God is fulfilling His New Jerusalem with all the nations. Royree (with all of the Australians standing behind her) was prayed over by Roger, Ben and Peter as she stood in for all of us so that we’d reach a new level of authority in our ministries and that women would be released into their destinies. An African knelt at Royree’s feet and her husband sang over us in African.

Monday 11 Oct

We went to Lambeth Palace. This is the home of the Archbishop of Canterbury and its garden is second only in size to the Queen’s. In 597, Augustine was the first Archbishop of Canterbury. Reginald Pole was the last Catholic Archbishop. The building was set up in 1197. The crypt is the earliest surviving part and dates from 1215-25. The Archbishop of Canterbury is in charge of the Anglican church worldwide. The Bishop of Lambeth met and prayed with us. The Lollards tower built in 1434-5 is part of the complex and it gets its name form the prison where the Lollards, followers of John Wycliffe were imprisoned. They were appeared here in 1378 charged with heresy.

Thomas Cramner was elevated from archbishop to primate by Henry 8th who didn’t want to be ruled from Rome. We were told that when the archbishop married and other priests did too, the Roman church closed its doors on the Anglican church. Mary Tudor, a Catholic Queen came into power and killed 8? archbishops including Cramner. Queen Mary and Pole died the same day supposedly of natural causes and Queen Elizabeth a Protestant Queen came to the throne and Anglicans were installed again.

Archbishop Baldwin went to the Crusades with King Richard and died there. In 1381, the people destroyed the manor. In 1640, the commonwealth period, the chapel was turned into a courtroom and a drinking place at night. It has paintings on the ceiling with the theme from darkness into light. Lambeth Conferences are held here and we saw the seat in the chapel set aside for Australia. It had a koala on it. Thomas A Becket had been slain at the cathedral. We visited the coronation room where feasting took place and leftovers were doled out to the people. It is now a library.

Peter Walker read from Hezekiah and prayed for the Lord to break the head of the bronze snake. Lloyd poured oil on the ground for healing. Brian Mills prayed to untangle the righteous from the unrighteous and to bless Archbishop Carey. Royree rayed for the general oppression to lift off us.

We then went to the Tower of London though we didn’t go inside. It was used as a prison, an armoury, and place of torture. Bishops and royalty had been imprisoned and beheaded there. People of less importance were hung, drawn and quartered there, maybe tarred and feathered. Thousands of people watched. Tower Hill was a place of execution and a place of preaching. Brandt an ancient British king was in battle with the Irish and got mortally wounded and he told them to take his head to the Tower of London. That spirit probably caused the tower to be built here because of that history we were told. Heads were thrown into the river Thames to appease water spirits. The Lydia Fellowship has prayer walked the area. Roger and Brian have led an all day prayer in the chapel there with communion.

Ravens are said to be the custodians of the place and their wings are clipped so they won’t come out. If the ravens escape, it’s said, the king will fall. If a raven dies it’s replaced. Some Christians believe the ravens are demonic. The keeper of the ravens dons a raven costume and does a ceremony. Anne Gray asked forgiveness for Britain for exporting death to Australia and desecration of the body by beheading. Barbara Miller, on behalf of her British heritage repented for the power struggles in the church and parliament and usurping God’s authority and bound and broke spirits of ungodly authority, control, dominion and power and prayed a godly authority over the nation.

There wasn’t time for more prayer as a group as we were having a lunch break near the Tower and heading off to the next location. However Norman and Barbara received a newsletter from Israel about the history of Jews in England including what happened at the Tower of London just before we left Australia and felt the Lord wanted us to deal with it. Hiliary, an Australian Jew joined us. Norman repented for anti-semitism in England and Australia. He then blessed the Jews as the spiritual fathers and mothers of the Christians and the ancestors of Jesus. He then prayed Deut 28 over Hiliary and Jewish people generally. Barbara repented for Jews not being allowed to own land or have jobs, being lied to, dealt with treacherously, having their money stolen and used against their people in the Crusades, making them live in poverty, murdering 289 Jews in the Tower of London and others who were murdered, and the official expulsion of Jews from Britain in 1290. Hiliary repented on behalf of her English heritage and received the repentance of Norman and Barbara on behalf of her Jewish heritage.

Norman read Mal 4 and repented that the church hadn’t sown into the Jewish nation but robbed them and asked Hiliary to lift the curse on Britain and Australia. She did lift the curse and prayed for prosperity over the two nations and forgave Christians for not praying enough for the peace of Jerusalem. Barbara prayed for restoration of the years the cankerworm had stolen from the Jews and Norman prayed a blessing on all Jewish businesses in Australia and Britain.

Barbara asked the Lord for forgiveness for the resentment and jealousy of Christians towards Jews because of their money. Hiliary agreed and prayed about the guilt of the Jews for having money. Barbara prayed Isaiah 28:16, breaking the covenant with death and agreement with the grave over England re the Jewish issue and prayed against a spirit of retaliation against us and our families. She prayed confusion over the airways of the enemy and Hiliary prayed we’d be hidden in the Holy Spirit.

We then visited Christ Church in the Spitalfields in the East End of London and had some praise and worship there after a talk about the place. A number of our group went for a walk through the nearby area. Most of the convicts came from the East End of London, the poorer area. Seventy-five languages are spoken here. After the expulsion of the Jews from England in 1290, Oliver Cromwell officially welcomed Jews back in 1640 and they started a used clothes market at the Tower of London. The French Hugenots came here in 1685 when the French wouldn’t tolerate religious difference any more. In the Industrial Revolution many of the poor from the countryside came here. In the early 19th century the Irish came here. The Irish and French were both weavers so there were fights. Jewish refugees came here in the 1860’s and onwards. In 1970, came people from Bangladesh because of the war between East and West Pakistan. Queen Anne wanted this church built and building started in 1711. There was a masonic sign near the dedication plaque of the church. It has a strong focus on reaching out to the poor and alcoholics. There is a strong history of Methodism in the area which is non-conformist.

The pastor said the church was sandwiched between the god of mammon and the god of Islam. It is the east gate of London. Someone said Australia is the second largest cosmopolitan nation in the world so it reflects this cosmopolitan area. Some of the convicts would have worshipped here. David had all the riff raff and poor gathered with him and God made mighty men of them. Also Susan Wesley came out of here. We prayed that God would raise up mighty men and women of the rejected here to be captains of 1,000’s and 10,000’s like David did. Barbara prayed for Davids to be raised up. Hiliary prayed about the wind blowing through the east gate. Norman read Ezek 47 and blew the shofar. Peter spoke about the man whose body fell on the grave of the dead prophet and revived. Catch the anointing of the dead prophet here. Lloyd and John Ives anointed the pastor and his wife and a local black leader.

We then visited the Old Bailey which contains courtrooms. There were 8 paintings and 6 slogans on the ceiling. There is a gold lady of justice outside on the top of the dome. There is a plaque noting that William Penn and William Mead were tried for preaching to an unlawful assembly. Edward Bushell plus 10 others wouldn’t find them guilty even though they were not fed for two nights. The jury were convicted and Habeas Corpus reviewed it and said that from then on juries were free to come to their own verdict.

Ben and Brian Pickering prayed and Hiliary. Barbara read Job 29:14-16 and prayed that Britain would put on a robe and turban of justice and that the church would break the fangs of the wicked and unjust and snatch victims from their teeth. Patricia Janse had a word about mixing the soil of Jerusalem and the soil of Ayers Rock and anointing oil and the Lord will use it to "call home" Aborigines of Australia to Israel and Ayers rock. It was mixed in Lloyd’s hand and all the Aborigines put their hands on it and some others and Ben prayed that whatever it represented would come to pass. Lloyd believes to take an indigenous team to Britain next year.

We had a City of London reception that night at the Police Station. There were aldermen present, people from the Christian Police Association, Lydia Fellowship and Dr Bernardos (a Christian child placement organization). Our host said the British Bicentennial Trust has an exchange of students from Britain and Australia. At St Mary’s there is a memorial to Captain Arthur Phillip with a replica in 25 Canon St where he was born. They have a memorial service to him yearly and get a speaker from Australia or an Australian organization in London. The next speaker is a judge of the Old Bailey whose grandfather, a surgeon, removed a spear from Phillip’s shoulder and saved his life. The speaker said "You must have people there who throw spears at immigrants."

Elizabeth from the Lydia Fellowship - In April 1990, we were waiting on God asking him how He wanted us to pray, abroad or for England and I had a picture of Ayers Rock within 1 minute. Someone said that can’t be the Lord there’s nothing there but we waited and prayed. We saw a cross on top of Ayers Rock. We didn’t understand what it meant but we wrote it in our journal, now look at you. I know He’s used intercessors from Argentina and Korea also.

Brian Pickering – In New Zealand they do the haka and people are disappointed if they don’t so I’ll say "G’day mate". We’re a friendly nation. We don’t bear grudges. It’s fitting we’re in a police station because that’s where most of our pain came from. We’re an ancient land. The problems came because a report went back to Britain to say there’s no one here except a few natives. There’s been a lot of pain because there has not been a lot of justice. This has kept our nation in bondage for 210 years. Through the work of the Holy spirit and the prayer of the nation 35 intercessors came from Britain and said "we’re sorry" for what’s happened to the convicts, the Aborigines, for the war, trade and British orphans. We don’t come back in bitterness but thank you for your heritage, the gospel, the parliamentary system and the system of justice. We’ve come back to look you in the eye and say "I forgive you". We pray that will break something over your land and release the destiny you still have . It’s great to be home.

Collette from Dr Bernardos – Dr Bernardos was established in 1845, the year of the Irish famine. A lot of Irish – mothers and babies – were sent to Australia because they were hungry and poor. They’d committed no crime but it was to marry an populate Australia. There have been 350,000 children in our care since 1870. Bernardos was involved in the migration to Australia of 2,784 children to 1965 and 30,000 to Canada. We now have 11 staff working to help people find if they have parents her and help them make sense of it. A lot of pain has been caused and they are now quite elderly. Bernardos has apologized publicly and said it was barbaric whether the children were consulted or not. The children wouldn’t have known what it meant. The government paid their fares. We have good records and half a million photos. We have 4,000 staff of whom some are Muslims and Jews so we don’t do Christian counselling but we are able to help.

Police officer – I was an Australian Baptist missionary in PNG before taking up the job here. I’m a community police officer and started the Christian Police Association . We have 38 on our mailing list with 10 attending regularly. There is a group of Christians in a bank who will be putting on an Alpha course in the lunch time and the police will attend. We’re trying to get every beat officer prayed for by his Christian name.

Norman Miller – I repent for the spearing of Captain Arthur Phillip by Aborigines and as a prophetic act, I pull that spear out. (He read Isaiah 53, by His stripes we are healed. He then pulled a spear out of Brian Mills representing Britain and out of the Lieutenant of Police representing the City of London). Brothers and sisters from Australia and all the English come out and pair up and do the same. Barbara prayed for Sally Rickert the organizer of the London meetings and prophecied that she’d be an arrow of healing between Britain and other nations and to divide light from dark as the word of God divides soul and spirit. Norman prophecied she would be a spearhead of reconciliation. Peter forgave the Brits too. Dudley Patterson said it’s a new day and James Gregg’s word that there’d be no scars was shared by Dudley.

Tuesday 12 Oct

Brian Mills, Brian Pickering and Peter Walker went to the Foreign Office and saw Jonathan Drew, head of the Australian desk and discussed relations between England and Australia. While it is confidential, we can expect something momentous to come from this so keep praying that fruit will come from it. Lois O ‘Donahue, Pat Dodson and other Aboriginal leaders from Australia met with the Foreign Office just after we did and they saw the Queen the next day so keep them in prayer also.

We walked past the barristers offices, streets of them, and went to a service at an Anglican church, Lincoln’s Inn where the Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife worshipped the previous weekend. Lawyers go for bible studies there at lunch times. We prayed for the priest and then Marilyn Keenan forgave the British for what the legal system did to Aborigines. Brian Mills prayed that righteousness and peace would kiss each other and we sang.

We went to Flemings where we had a luncheon meeting. Brian Pickering, John Ives and Ben Gray prayed for our hosts who were Christians. Anne Gray said that Brian Mills would be a releaser of finances to the church in Britain. Hiliary Moroney repented for money Britain had taken from Australia and prayed the curse would be lifted so prosperity would flow. Lloyd put anointing oil on them and prayed.

Norman read Ps 127 and said as we stand here together it will be a fruitful day. We receive the fruit of this harvest because the Holy Spirit will deposit something from heaven to earth. We need a vision for provision, a kingdom vision. There was a marriage between Britain and Australia. There has to be fruit from it so as a prophetic act, I give this pear to you as a symbol of that fruit in the spiritual.

We went to St Margaret’s and had a time of refocusing where Brian Mills and Brian Pickering addressed us. We then went to Wesley Chapel and Brian asked John to lead us in singing some old Wesley hymns while Annette Ives played the piano. Roslyn Walcott and Peter prayed. Peter said let’s redig the wells of revival. Brian Mills said soon a team from New England, USA would be here dealing with similar issues to us and they’d be praying to redig those wells. Wesley’s home is next door and some knelt at his prayer stool.

We went to the Strategic Prayer School for their meeting. Brian Mills – Julie and Rod Anderson run the Strategic Prayer School which is international and they sent the English team out from here to Australia. We were commissioned at Portsmouth as well. We went to repent to Australia for sewing wrong things – we robbed Aborigines of their land, raped them and massacred them. We apologized to white Australians. Australia is the only nation in the world settled by another nation’s convicts. We met the Foreign Office today and discussed these issues. We also rejected orphans after the war who were not orphans afterall. There was also economic abandonment with many loosing their livelihood overnight, with bankruptcy and suicide. We had abandoned another generation of Brits. We also used Australians in the front lines in two world wars. We have a video explaining this.

Angus Binge – We need to pray without ceasing. The trade change affected Aborigines too because they were shearers and stockmen and worked on some of the biggest cattle stations in the world. but I'm here to talk about the dynamic power of God. God asked Abraham to offer up Isaac. He changed a nation. Moses spent time in the desert and he changed a nation. Prayer will change a nation.

Brian Pickering – He told the story of Yami Lester an Aboriginal man who’d been blinded by the British atomic testing in Australia at Maralinga. The British team drove a long way to find him when they came to Australia. His 6 year old grandson met them first and asked them who they were. They told him they were from England. "Are you the ones who blinded my grandfather" he asked? "We didn’t but our people did" they replied. "Have you come to say sorry?" the boy asked. "Yes" they replied. "Well, that’s alright then, we can be friends," said the boy. Brian said that Yami’s sister, Muriel was on the trip with us. Brian said it would be good if the Queen could say sorry to Australians. He said they would need to travel Australia now to tell them what happened during our English visit.

Ben Gray – Help me Lord to know what to do. This is a kairos time. Give us a prophetic act to symbolize reconciliation and let it bring release in the heavens as well as the earth and let this city know the fire of your presence rather than the fire of war that ravaged this city. Let it be a fire to ravage sin. Let rivers of anointing, rivers of equipping and rivers of release come to this city.

Six years ago, at a Gideon’s Army meeting in Korea organized by C. P. Wagner we experienced nation to nation reconciliation for the first time. Cindy Jacobs said to Brian and Roger that there was unfinished business with our nation and a murderous spirit had been exported. They cried buckets of tears.

Anne and I became spiritual Anzacs coming ashore at Gallipoli and we poured oil on the ground to heal the land and remove the curse. We had a time of reconciliation with Britain represented by Jonathan, New Zealand and Turkey. Something happened on the beach connected with obedience and tonight. It’s part of "It is finished". It’s part of covering blood it’s sealed over and part of the anointing this nation. Brian and Roger came to Australia with a bitter sweet mixture of their sin. When Jesus was on cross He was given a hyssop stick with wine and vinegar. He knew release was coming and he said "It is finished" I’ve said this several times across this nation. A spear was put into Jesus side, out of it flowed blood and water. Tonight in my pocket, out of an act of obedience 14 days ago, I have water from Anzac Cove. The bottle did have oil in it. We broke a curse over Turkey, Australia, and Britain. This morning the Lord woke me up at 4am and said put the bottle in your pocket. This signifies death and water flowed out of His side. This water was mixed with the oil representing the Holy Spirit. Come up here Jonathan Gould, Brian Mills and Rob Oliver because Rob’s age is what our young sons would’ve been who were sent away. We’re back in London where it all started. This represents so much pain. Many of our young men fell at Anzac because they loved England. They died for God and country. Can an Aboriginal brother come? Ben wept. It is finished. Let there be an anointing of a rich harvest in this country. David said I’d like to drink and a couple of mighty men went to get water. And he said I can’t drink this. I must offer it back to God.

I charge you to take this bottle of water to the highest authority in this nation – no 10 Downing St or the Defence Department. I charge you to take this water, mixed with the blood of Jesus and anointing oil and pour it out for this nation and the nations of the world.

Peter Walker – We ask you Father as we come to a new millenium that things that happened in the past like Gallipoli, healing oil will flow and your blood replace the blood of the young men that flowed, that your blood would make atonement . I thank you for this God. Open the door right now and speak into the ears of the authorities and soften them towards this message. Lord let us see healing across the Pacific and Atlantic. We thank you for these men are ambassadors of revelation. Peter asked Australians to come out and Bill Hollingsworth prayed that all nations of the world would be used by God to make a new sound, sing a new song, a song of reconciliation and restoration.

Brian Mills - this is a prophetic act. Jonathan and I will covenant together to wait for God’s time and be available to take this to the highest authority in the land.

Julie Anderson - (Prayed for Brian and his family.) I was at the Gideon’s Army meeting in Korea. I filled up with water from Galilee. The Lord is healing the nations.

Wednesday 13 Oct

Brian Mills, Brian and Robyn Pickering, Colin Towers, Peter Walker and Angus Binge went to a Parliamentary breakfast and then the whole group had a meeting at the House of Lords with Lord Ashbourne, a Christian who shared a scripture with the group and a time of prayer.

The next visit was to the Guildhall which is where the guilds or industry associations have their head office. The liverymen of the guilds traditionally select the Lord Mayor of London not the people and we were told freemasonry is heavily involved. The west gallery is guarded at both corners by the statues of Gog and Magog, giants who represent the legendary pre-Christian conflicts between ancient Britons and Trojan invaders; a struggle which resulted in the founding of Albion's capital city, New Troy on whose site London is said to stand. In Elizabethan terms, the giants were known as Gogmagog and Corneus and their images were paraded in midsummer pageants. The statues were placed in Guildhall in 1708, although those on display today were the gift of Alderman Sir George Wilkinson, Lord mayor 1940-41 replacing the statues destroyed in 1940. The figures are carved in limewood by David Evans and are 9’ 3" high. Gog is to the north and Magog is to the south. Magog’s shield shows a phoenix, the symbol of renewal after fire. The Corporation’s home at Guildhall has witnessed traitor’s trials, heroes welcomes, freedom ceremonies and state occasions. It has been the seat of municipal government since the 12th century and its ancient walls survived catastrophic fire.

The group then visited Mansion House and had the only free evening of the trip.

Thursday 14 Oct

We went by bus to Hastings and had a reception where we were welcomed by the Mayor at the Wellington Square Baptist Church, a number of churches being present. As the pastor was away, Rev Ray Storge of the United Reformed Church welcomed us. The mayor of Hastings, Godfrey Damil, said - Today is Hastings Day, the 933rd anniversary of the Battle of Hastings of 1066. Hastings is the leading sinque port. Before we had a navy, 5 sinque ports contributed ships to fight, usually against France. Eventually there were 14 sinque ports. Sir Robert Menzies has a connection here.

Roger Mitchell – the Australians are back to put two halves together. A great deal of the order behind Britain came with William the Conqueror. Some came with the Normans, some came with the Romans. The furtherest the blessing and cursing of that went was Australia. We took a mixture there. It’s a blessing to have the first nation people here and they are significant people back home. This is a Godincidence. I’m not here because of the Australians but because St Leonard’s invited me to Hastings for a meeting tonight.

John Ives – The last two years of my single life and the first two years of my married life was in Hastings shire in NSW and I’m a descendant of convicts. I’ve come to say I forgive you. Our hearts are strangely warmed by British hospitality. We paired off with local people and prayed. They gave us each a postcard with pressed flowers.

Brian Mills – A seed change occurred in 1066 in this country. One of the women commented casually to us over lunch that Hastings was the last time England was conquered so it has more of a sense of security than some European countries and its buildings are much older because of not being destroyed by war.

Brian Pickering – the Aborigines here have British roots because somewhere in their generations, a woman has been raped. Coming home has been a healing. I know that in 1066, Britain was defeated here at Hastings but I’d have to say if it hasn’t been dealt with by identificational repentance, then it’s still binding you. But maybe our being here is prophetic. A curse has been broken over Australia. Each year you commemorate Hastings because it is still binding you. For 200 years we were taught about English history not Australian history at school. Who are we as Australians? Our national identity and character is rebellious and anti-authority. Why? Because of our convict roots and we rebel against authority figures in our nation represented by police, government etc. I’m not personally affected by what happened 211 years ago but just by being born in Australia I have these streaks in my personality even though I’m a Christian. When the British came, they not only came to say sorry, they sowed their tears into our nation and that broke something in the spirit over our nation. The Lord said call the praying people of Australia to a season of prayer because we’ve perpetuated what the Brits have done.

Ten thousand Australians undertook a season of national repentance of 9 months. On July 14 1999 at 2am a new spiritual birth took place 2Chron 7:14. He told us 2 years ago to go to Ayers Rock and ask for two things - to raise a new standard of righteousness over the nation and healing of the land. Britain conceived, our repentance watered it and at Ayers Rock it was birthed. We were a dry nation. We have not known revival except in pockets. Tens of thousands of Australians prayed on headlands, in churches, in their homes and God heard. A prophetic call arose "Come home" for 5-10 minutes.

At Ayers Rock, one of our intercessors went into travail. What was birthed was called Yadah – intimacy with God. Come home to me is intimacy that will bring healing to the nations. I have 2 stories, a 23 year old lady and a Aboriginal pastor from Darwin had dreams where Jesus appeared and said "Come home" so they did as they had drifted from God. There has been a revival among the Aborigines at Mornington island were 100 a week are coming to the Lord. There’s been a word that the Lord will bring revival to our nation through the Aborigines. At Mutujulu our nation was reborn in a small Aboriginal church just as Jesus was born in a stable. We’ve seen the first fruits. We’re home to say we love you, we want to release you from the curse over your nation. The words that broke the bondage over us were "We’re sorry". We’re saying "we forgive you". For 210 years we were in a prison and we didn’t know. Thank you for the stability of government you gave us. You haven’t been the parents we would’ve liked. We could’ve sent a letter saying we’re sorry or got Brian and Roger to deliver the message but we wanted to pay a price and say it face to face. The Australians were asked to find a Brit and say "we forgive you."

We visited the town of Battle where the Battle of Hastings was actually fought and a guide dressed as a Norman soldier explained some history of Hastings Castle and Battle Abbey. A third of the group went on a tour of the castle and had a significant time of prayer there. The local church hosted us for an evening meal at Battle.

We returned to Hastings for an ecumenical Hastings Day Celebration at St Mary in the Castle. The nearby town of St Leonard’s had churches involved in the service too. Eleven local pastors were prayed for and Isaiah 58 about true fasting was read. The pastors and priests from various denominations repented for the sins of their city.

Roger Mitchell – Father forgive us for breaking covenant with you. Forgive us for blood crying out from the ground. Cover the bloodshed of this battle and battles before it with your blood and we covenant with you again. We repent of independence and isolation that has come from this place. Forgive us for independence and isolation. Help us to be more submissive and united. We’re sorry and we repent for ourselves, our churches and the people of this town. Break these spirits over this town.

Roger Gray – the people of this town chose to support invading William rather than the reigning King and the town made decisions some based on how it’d benefit the town. We repent and want to live lives of integrity before You. (Roger mentioned the duplicity and treachery of the town).

Keith Hayden - Forgive us our rivalry with other towns. We’ve sought to be better and stronger and compete with other sinque ports. We turn form that tonight. May we have servant hearts instead of rivalry.

Chris Sears – We repent on behalf of our town for occult practice, false gods that have been worshipped . But also Lord you said rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and we repent of our rebellion tonight

Chris Keys – Lord forgive us. This town is known for battle and conflict not good things and we have a history of violence, of being taken over by other towns. Cleanse the cliffs of our town where we have a history of suicide. Oh what pain there is. Cleanse us, heal us. Cleanse us for murders too. Cleanse the town where secrets have been held for ears.

Joy Pocock – We repent for our ancestors who came to this area – Romans. Vikings and Normans and brought slavery through this town. Forgive us resentment, pride and greed. Help us to be just and compassionate. We pray for those feeling hopelessness without work or with low pays. Give us integrity of heart in our dealings with people.

Roger Mitchell – How can we experience what we saw on the video of Almolonga, Guatemala where a city is transformed through prayer and fasting? It is 933 years on since the Battle of Hastings and we have a mixture. The gospel brought both blessings and problems. William the Conqueror brought order to chaos and dealt with poverty. The imperial spirit of Rome affected the gospel being brought here. But there’ve also been wars between Protestant nations. When we have church splits, we’re touching something of this same mixture. The roots need dealing with. Brian Mills was here on the 15 June. You live in a gateway where that mixture came and was sealed. The Romans put the goddess of war Minerva or Brittania on coins. A gateway for Jewish church to gentile nations came through Europe and then Britain. We need to repent of power lust, dominion and the me 1st part of the gospel. Nicolaitans – nico means conquer and laity mans people. Feeling that our own church is dominant is sin. This is a prophetic town where though the gates came blessing and order, education, law and government. William built churches. Why didn’t the Wesley era break through? But if something doesn’t happen now, my church won’t be here in 20 years.

Remember the Jews came to the Promised Land and nearly didn’t make it? The gateway to the land was Jericho. Hastings is a gateway city of this nation. Hastings needed to fall to God. I thank God today we don’t destroy a city but the powers behind the city. Nu 32. The tribes were arrayed over the Jordan River. Rivers represent two things 1. Everything that’s in the way between what ought to be and our inheritance and 2. The power of the blood of Christ who was baptised in the Jordan. So right now a Jordan is facing us – the mixture and the power of the blood. The Gadites and Reubenites and half the tribe of Manasseh were satisfied with their inheritance and did not want to cross the Jordan with the rest of the Israelites but Moses told them that they would loose their inheritance if they did not help the other Israelites to get their inheritance. So you won’t have a church in 20 years time if you don’t join in. If they did join in the fight for Jericho and other towns, they’d have an inheritance on both sides of the Jordan. It’s going to take tribes to reach this nation.

God is sending His spiritual children back. The Brazilians were in Manchester last week and I spent time with them. Last year the Ugandans came to help us. The Germans are coming soon. Brothers and sisters of Europe need to be reconciled. The Royal family of this nation sent 100 years speaking French and 1000 years speaking German. We’re one family. Jesus on the cross said "Father forgive them".

Our kids have come home. As parents we threw them away. When we found the fathers of Australia we beat them up. I want to ask those of us who are determined to covenant with God to work with other denominations. I ask the Australians to lay hands on you and say we forgive you for the mixture that was the gospel.

Friday 15 Oct

We went to a retreat centre, Asburnam Place, Sussex Thursday night after the meeting to sleep and spend Friday debriefing before returning to Australia on Saturday. In the morning, Brian Pickering shared and opened it up to the group to share highlights of the visit for them. Brian said – Australia has experienced a rebirth and healing of the land. Now we have to walk in that and not do what we did before. We need to enter into that victory. Whether we experience that individually or corporately depends on us not God. He did His bit. We need to have change in our lives and speak it out with our words so people in Australia will catch hold of what God’s done. If we miss it we’ll have to go through the whole process again. Our prayers need to change. It is finished. We declared at Uluru that in the prayer movement, there’s reconciliation between black and white so we don’t need to hold any more reconciliation events. Have faith. We’ve followed God’s prophetic agenda for two years. Truly it is finished.

If we continue to have reconciliation events between Britain and Australia, then we say we don’t believe that it’s occurred. It’s not between governments but we need to pray that what God’s done in the spirit is applied to our natural life. Lay it down and move on. Britain and Australia together may reconcile with nations we’ve hurt together. We need to tell the story back home or people won’t know. People need to walk in that healing. How do we get the message across to our nation? If we hadn’t moved into national repentance at Uluru, we wouldn’t be here in Britain. All parts of the process are important.

By faith, our nation needs to claim what’s happened. Intercessors carry things deeply and it can become stifling and binding on intercessors. Whatever burden you carry you need to release. Intercessors become so intense about what God tells them that it becomes idolatry, that God relies on us. No. The greatest impact you had was saying "Yes God, I’ll come. Everything on God’s heart was done. If you think because you didn’t pray a prayer and say a scripture in a place, don’t feel bad. Be released because you’re putting yourself above God. He can do what needs to be done.

There was sharing by the group about the value of the trip in terms of people coming to terms with their cultural heritage and feeling released because of working with Aborigines. Barbara Miller shared that when Brian Pickering asked her and Norman to share at Freedom’s Ark, a Nigerian church, she was praying about what to share that might be appropriate and God reminded her of her involvement with influencing Australian government policy to support South Africans working against apartheid. She said that she first got involved in Aboriginal affairs because of two incidences – becoming a Christian and attending a rally against apartheid when the all white Springbok team came to Brisbane in 1970 or 71. Then she asked herself what it was like for Aborigines in Australia and realized she didn’t know any so made a point of meeting some. Then she was involved with a group in Melbourne who researched Australia’s economic ties with South Africa and she went to the ALP National Conference in Surfers Paradise as a lobbyist after Gough Whitlam came to power. Bill Hartley, a Victorian member of parliament introduced her to Bob Hawke, later to become Prime Minister but then head of the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU). He had just come back from an International Labour Organization (ILO) conference overseas and so was open to Barbara’s lobbying that Australia should cut off economic ties with South Africa as a moral stance over apartheid. He then lobbied Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and it got accepted as ALP policy even though it hadn’t been on the agenda.

Barbara said she had also been involved with working for independence from colonial rule of Zimbabwe, then Rhodesia, Namibia and the Portuguese colonies of Angola, Mozambique and Guinea-Bisseau. At the strategic prayer school in London, a woman presently living in Spain came to Barbara and Norman for prayer after the meeting because she had been refused work in South Africa some time back because of her anti apartheid stance but she believed the Lord was calling her back to work there. Norman and Barbara have been invited to speak at an Intercessors for Zimbabwe conference followed by a speaking tour in December this year finance permitting. She said this trip had refocussed her on Africa.

In the afternoon, we had a time of prayer as a group. Brian Mills read Isaiah 61. He said there was unfinished business for the Brits in lifting the burden because "it is finished" had been prayed over himself the first night, Colin and himself the second night and Roger Mitchell later on but not over the whole group. So were asked to pair off with the Australians releasing the Brits from their burden.

Angus Binge – the famine for Britain is over. The word of the Holy Spirit is coming from the east like a rain cloud gathering. The rain is bringing forth new fruit, the fruit of righteousness. God will bless this country in a special way. England you’ve never touched the glory of God like you will. Revival is coming. May God bless you so you can bless nation after nation with the fresh oil of the Holy Spirit.

Roseanne Brooks – I asked a lady to paint some pictures for me to take on this trip and told her to ask the Holy Spirit what to paint. We gave one out in Gallipoli. It had footprints on it. We gave one painting to Sally Rickert of a river flowing. The third one is beulah, the land is married Isaiah 62. This one is for Brian Mills. Brian said that’s the word God gave us for Australia. We’re having a wedding feast tonight. We had the confetti and photos this afternoon. The British team then prayed one on one for the Australian team with some prophetic words flowing.

In the evening we had a banquet to celebrate the marriage that had taken place at Portsmouth followed by communion. Norman Miller shared about the wedding feast at Cana where Jesus performed His first miracle (John 2) He prayed that the British would be filled to the brim with refreshing water just as the jars were filled to the brim with water before Jesus changed them into wine. Norman squeezed fresh grapes over Brian Mills head and over himself in a prophetic act. Norman prayed that the new wine of God’s spirit would flow and be fruitful over the British. Norman said the Lord had saved the best wine for last and thanked Him for the family reunion. Norman gave Brian his hat with the Aboriginal flag on and gave Roger Mitchell’s brother in law, Roger Harwood his tie with a grape design on it. Peter gave Brian Mills a Praise Corroboree t shirt and Brian Pickering was given a tie with the flags of the nations on by one of the Brits. This was the end of a wonderful time of sharing. However we shouldn’t underestimate the contribution of many Australians, black and white, Christian and non-Christian over many years to racial reconciliation in Australia and British-Australian reconciliation.

A highlight for us of the reconciliation tour was that what the Lord had showed us at Ayers Rock had been very significant in terms of Jesus appearing to people in dreams afterwards in Australia saying "come home" and the number of people who have been restored to the Lord and their families. Also the theme "we’ve come home" was a very central one to the tone of the whole visit of the Australians to Britain. Here is what the Lord showed us at Ayers Rock and some information about our general involvement in British-Australian reconciliation:

Most of our focus on reconciliation between nations has focused on British-Australian reconciliation. Little did we know when we went to Reconciliation 97 conference at Coventry England that God would get us involved with a reconciliation process between those nations that would culminate in Australia at the National Prayer Gathering at Ayers Rock at 2am July 14, 1999 and in Britain in October 1999 with a prayer tour by Australian intercessors.

On our first night in Britain before Reconciliation 97 conference in England Barbara was woken up with a dream that someone was trying to kill her and Norman behind the altar of a church. (Many English churchyards are cemeteries and the rich and famous are buried in churches). When she woke up, she was aware of a spirit of death over England. Princess Diana had just died. Then the Lord gave her a vision of Henry VIII and showed her that the Church of England was birthed in bloodshed and rebellion from the Catholic Church. At that stage, there was nothing she could do about it but the International Conference on Reconciliation and Peace in Cairns seemed to be the right timing.

Barbara shared this with one of the English intercessors, David Sladden who happened to be Church of England and with an Australian Catholic (Pat Atkins). They felt led of the Lord to stand in the gap for their churches. The English intercessor repented to God and Catholics for the rebellion in which the Church of England started and Pat received this and also repented for the Catholic church’s part. As Pat is of Irish heritage, she also experienced healing as the English intercessor repented of the sins of the English towards the Irish. Pat also has Jewish heritage and the need for healing between Christian and Jew surfaced and Pat felt she was no longer torn in two. It was a dramatic experience. The Lord also showed Barbara in England of the need for healing between England and the Celtic peoples.

After the vision of Henry V111, Barbara felt that the Lord was saying that Norman needed to stand in the gap for Aboriginal people in Australia and forgive the people of Britain and the government and church for what had happened in Australia re the treatment of Aboriginal people. It was as if God had brought us to the source or root cause and that Norman needed to forgive them and he needed to stand in on behalf of Aboriginal people to also repent of the attitude that Aboriginal people have towards the British.

Australia was also birthed as a penal colony, and the Lord wanted Barbara to stand in on behalf of Australia’s convict heritage and forgive Britain for what they did. (About 200 years ago the British jails were full because people were being put in jail just for stealing a loaf of bread etc. They were put in jail because they were poor and starving and when the jails were full and they put them on convict ships and sent them to Australia.) The Lord showed Barbara that of those people that came out, many of them died, they left behind their home, their family, everything familiar to come to a foreign land where often the women were raped, there was forced labour and conditions were appalling. They experienced abandonment and rejection. The Lord showed Barbara she needed to stand in the gap and repent from the anti-authority, rebellion and anti-pommy attitudes that some Australians had developed because of that.

The identificational repentance and forgiveness was followed up by the Aboriginal delegation giving out water as a symbol of life in communion glasses to the people. People came to us afterwards for personal reconciliations. One of these had a family member who was killed in Tasmania by an Aboriginal person some time ago and another was an Australian living in Scotland. (This was Margaret Chalmers who was a leader of the prayer movement in Scotland. She returned to Australia and came to England as part of the Australian reconciliation tour).

The three things that God put on our heart to do when we went home was:

1. for our church to become a House of Prayer for All Nations, to pray for places around the world that needed reconciliation. This was not talked about at the conference specifically. It was something God laid on our hearts.

2. to hold an International Conference on Reconciliation and Peace in Cairns.

3. to open up a Centre for International Reconciliation and Peace in Cairns.

We asked ourselves, Why Australia? Why Cairns? Why us? However we were obedient to the vision God laid on our hearts and started praying for the nations in our Sunday services, putting the flags of as many nations of the world as we could get in our church. We had the conference in September 1998 and opened our Centre fulltime in May 1999.

On the Monday night of the Coventry conference they had the European and British presentation. Then they spoke on what was happening in Northern Ireland between Catholics and Protestants, what was happening in Bosnia between the Moslems and Christians etc, and we got the tremendous sense that even though as Christians we are charged with the ministry of reconciliation and the message of reconciliation, it’s the Christians that are causing a lot of the problems in the world trouble spots. How ironic?

One person spoke about how Britain had been responsible for exporting division around the world and Barbara’s mind went back to the video Barbequeria. On that Aboriginal people talk about Britain having exported war all over the world and Barbara got a real sense of how the British people have exported death all over the world because she had picked up this heavy spirit of death while we were there. We believe that God wanted to take us from Australia over to the source of a lot of those problems so we could help heal the source.

When Barbara told Brian Mills, an English intercessor, that she had sensed a spirit of death over England, he said that Robyn Peebles’ (a pastor from Sydney) intercessor had woken up the same morning attacked by a spirit of death. He said it was a confirmation to the English intercessors who had picked up the same thing. We believe the spirit of death the English exported to Australia needs to be broken over Australia and life breathed over Australia instead.

Back in Australia at Praise Corroboree, Parliament House in Canberra, Roger Mitchell, a British intercessor who is a leader of the European prayer movement spoke to a group of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal leaders about the British intercessors plans for a tour of Australia in 1998 to repent of Britain’s actions towards Aborigines and white Australians. The Lord moved on him to repent there and then and the Aboriginal leaders weren’t sure how to respond. One concern was whether they needed permission from their communities to receive this apology or not. Others didn’t know what the protocol was to receive the apology. Roger said he was at their mercy and needed help. Norman waited for these elders to respond but then Norman stood in the gap, received the repentance and extended forgiveness. He also repented for Aboriginal attitudes to the British. Norman said while we need to respect our culture, we should not get into cultural bondages, as there’s a higher spiritual law than that.

Jackie Hopkins, an English intercessor was at Reconciliation 97 conference in England when Norman and Barbara forgave the British for what they’d done in Australia. She then went to Praise Corroboree in Canberra and up to Cairns to visit our church and stay with us. She said she felt humiliated that Norman had had to make the first move and forgive the British but that God just loves it when the oppressed rise up to forgive the oppressor. God brought the reconciliation process full circle by bringing Jackie to our church where she apologized to the Aboriginal people present for what the British had done in Australia.

The International Conference on Reconciliation and Peace coincided with the British Reconciliation tour of Australia so that we were able to have Brian Mills, AD 2000 United Prayer Track representative for Europe as a keynote speaker and 10 other intercessors from Britain. We are grateful to Brian Pickering, Coordinator of the Australian Prayer Network for coordinating the timing etc with us on this and providing prayer covering and some finance for accommodation for the British while in Cairns. While we covered many other aspects of reconciliation at the conference, the British-Australian reconciliation was the most significant. So the conference was part of the British visit and broader at the same time. A separate report of the conference is available because it‘s too detailed to go into here.

Straight after the conference, we left for Israel for the All Nations Convocation Jerusalem run by Tom Hess of the House of Prayer for All Nations. We were part of the South Pacific delegation’s presentation. Noel Mann was the leader of the delegation and he organized a separate meeting for us with the British who were present. They were a bit defensive and not sure what needed apologizing for at first but Norman and the Elcho Island women were so gracious; a meaningful British-Australian reconciliation event took place with a foot washing ceremony included.

By the end of October 98, we were in Guatemala for the World Congress on Intercession, Spiritual Warfare and Evangelism and we were invited on the platform by Ben Gray, Coordinator of the South Pacific Prayer Network to join the South Pacific delegation’s presentation. Brian Mills and Roger Mitchell of Britain were on the platform with the Australians who were thanking them for the healing they’d brought to our people because of their tears of repentance during their 6 week Australian tour.

At the conclusion of the Australian tour, Brian Pickering called the Australian Prayer Network to 9 months of prayer and fasting. This was to culminate in a National Prayer Gathering at Ayers Rock or Uluru 11-14 July 1999. Ben Gray had received a prophetic word from the Lord to have the National Prayer Gathering at Ayers Rock and the scripture was 2 Chron 7:14 (2am July 14).

Over 300 intercessors including Aboriginal leaders gathered at Ayers Rock in July. Brian Mills and British intercessors Colin and Kerry Towers, Doug Sladden and Jackie Hopkins came to join them. The following Aboriginal leaders were assisted to attend by the Australian Prayer Network and were officially honoured for their work in reconciliation - Bill Bird, Ron Williams, Peter Walker, Angus Binge, Ella Gordon, Muriel Olsson, Rodney and Glenda Minnecon, Lloyd Hollingsworth and Norman and Barbara Miller. Barbara is not Aboriginal but Norman and Barbara work as a team.

Ben and Brian said that God had asked them to pray for two things - a new standard of righteous to be raised up over Australia and healing of the land. They added two more prayer points - for God to release a new spirit of reconciliation over this land (in family life, between men and women. fathers and children, rich and poor, not just in black-white relations) and for God to break our stony heart and give us a heart of flesh. We did prayer walks around the Olgas (Kata Tjuta) as well as Uluru.

The traditional owners, notably Tony Tjamawa of the Mutijulu people welcomed us but asked us not to climb Ayers Rock. We were not allowed into the National Park at 2am in the morning so the Mutijulu people invited us to spend the night watch at their church near Uluru. We went in buses at 11.30pm and prayed till 4am. About 200 cities were praying around Australia with us including Cains with a prayer meeting at our church. Peter Walker repented and asked God to remove the curse off Aboriginal people for not obeying the law. He asked others to stand with him and then some of the Aboriginal elders prayed for Ben Gray and Brian Pickering. Noel Mann led us in a Daniel prayer of repentance.

Our church joined with others in Australia by giving a message on Josiah (2 Ki 23) and making the Josiah declaration against idolatry on the Sunday morning service before the conference. On Sunday afternoon 11July at Ayers Rock, the Lord quickened to Barbara about a spirit of adoption on Aboriginal people and on the land. Ro 8:19-23 had been given to her by the Lord in Cairns and now the Lord was bringing it to her attention again. It was as if Ayers Rock and the land generally were waiting eagerly for the redemption of the sons and daughters of God so that it too could be redeemed. Because of our disobedience and the fall, the land and living creatures had been frustrated and were subject to death and decay. Creation was awaiting its liberation from bondage and its renewal and redemption. It was as if Ayers Rock and the creation round about was groaning as in the pains of childbirth to bring forth the children of God into the full redemptive purposes of God. It was as if the land was calling its people forth or birthing them into the kingdom of God so it could experience rebirth as well.

Not only are we as Christians adopted into the heavenly household as sons and daughters of God but the Lord gave Barbara a word that He has put a spirit of adoption on the Aboriginal people of this land. In the kinship system, there are either words for family members or words for stranger. Some Aboriginal languages don’t have words for friends and so friendly white people are adopted into the family. God put that in place. It’s like a spirit of adoption that’s put on the people of the land and the people of the land are saying "Welcome into the family, Come home" to the rest of the people of Australia. This is of great spiritual significance in this country because we know that there has been a lot of prayer that’s gone up for reconciliation and healing of relationships. I believe we’re seeing a turning point in that area.

The Lord also reminded her how He stood and looked out over Jerusalem with His arms outstretched and said "O Jerusalem, O Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you how often have I longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings but you were not willing (Mat 23:37). They missed out on the day of their visitation and Jesus wept. (Luke 19:41-44) (On the following Tuesday the Lord brought a brokenness over us at Ayers Rock to weep for the nation of Australia and pastors and leaders who had turned away, so they would not miss that visitation.)

The Lord also showed Barbara that He put a spirit of adoption on the land of Australia as well and the land stands there with its arms outstretched to us just like Jesus did with Jerusalem saying, "Come home. Come into the family". There are a lot of people in Australia who don’t feel like they’re home but the land is saying, "This is your home. We welcome you home." The land is also saying, come home into the kingdom of God, that’s your true spiritual home.

The other word the Lord gave Barbara at the Olgas (Kata Tjuta) on Monday was that He had set Aboriginal people as gatekeepers in this land for their own areas across Australia and because the traditional owners of Ayers Rock, the heart of Australia, opened the gates to the National Prayer Gathering, then they were opening the spiritual gateway not just to that area, but to the whole nation. What God was doing in the spirit was that Aboriginal gatekeepers throughout the whole nation who had before closed their doors to the gospel because of the pain that came with it, would now open those gates. She saw gates or doors opening all across this nation. It was like the light turning on all across this nation. (God puts authorities in the land whether those authorities are national park authorities or traditional owners.)

We were raising a banner, a standard of righteousness and justice over the nation of Australia and at 1.30am on July 14 when we prayed the first prayer for this, Barbara saw a tower rising in the centre of Australia. The Lord said to her this is not like the tower of Babel but it’s a tower of strength for the righteous and the just to run into it. He had heard our prayer and He had answered our prayer. We can have great confidence in that. It is very significant that the Lord asked the Australian Prayer Network to pray for a standard of righteousness to be raised over Australia because when Barbara was in Israel, she asked the Lord what His redemptive purpose was for Australia and He told her it was for a godly justice to be shown. Considering the injustice of Australia’s beginnings and satan’s plan to pervert God’s purposes, this makes sense. Amos 5:24 and Psalm 89:14 and other scriptures show us that God’s righteousness and justice go hand in hand. So we were actually praying God’s redemptive purpose over Australia at His request from the centre of the nation.

Barbara led the final prayer for reconciliation at the 2am prayer meeting and she prophetically declared some of what the Lord showed her about a spirit of adoption on the land and the people of the land and the spirit of reconciliation this brings.

This is a time of thanksgiving for the Lord has done a great thing. It’s been done in the spiritual. We’re soon going to see the fruit in the natural across this great land of ours. It’s God’s time for Australia. God’s moving all over the world - South America, Toronto, Sunderland, Pensacola etc. It’s Australia’s turn and we’re going to see a mighty revival in Australia. This was birthed very strongly in the spirit while we were at Ayers Rock. All those throughout the nation, including our church, which prayed at 2am on July 14 in unison with the gathering at Ayers Rock, will reap the fruit of that. Australia has a leading role amongst the nations in reconciliation and healing. Nations are watching us, particularly with this British-Australian reconciliation that’s been happening. There are people in the world excited by it and are going to do similar thing in their own countries. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, there were people who weren’t sure if He was the Messiah. They said, "Can any good thing come out of Bethlehem?" And people might say of Australia, "Can any good thing come out of Australia?" We know it can because God has put this nation in this place for a reason and those people who are living here are here for a reason. We need to be part of God’s plans and purposes and not miss the hour of His visitation.

The Lord gave Norman a prophetic word about 1.30am July 14, as we were to pray our first 2am prayer to coincide with prayer groups in eastern Australia. Ps Brian Pickering read part of it out. It was: "Know this that My hand is in the land and I will show you My authority and power for this prophetic time and hour" says the Lord.

A citywide prayer meeting at our church in Cairns on Fridays at 6am was birthed from Brian and Robyn Pickering’s tour to promote the National Prayer Gathering although it had been on our hearts to do so for a while. Its focus is to pray for revival in Cairns and Australia and unity of pastors and churches so that Cairns can partner with the Australian Prayer Network in a prayer evangelism project.

On Friday 6 July we were weeping and praying outstretched over a banner of Australia with the Holy Spirit dove in the centre and we put a red cross over it. Norman had a prophetic word that as we struck Ayers Rock with our prayers, healing waters would flow out of it across our nation. He also read Ex 17:1-16.

Pastor Peter Singut of Miracle Christian Centre Boroko, Papua New Guinea happened to be at our prayer meeting and he prophecied over Norman and Barbara that we had a divine rod of authority to rule over the enemies of our God over the nation of Australia (Psalm 110:1-3). He said that God was about to release us into a new realm of spiritual authority in our ministry. Pastor Peter was excited and organized for his church in PNG to be praying in unison with us in Australia at 2am July 14 and he made a continuing commitment pray for Australia and our ministry.

When we went to Uluru, Norman had the opportunity at the 2am July 14 meeting to read the Scripture Ex 17:1-16 but not to follow through with a prophetic word or declaration but Peter Walker followed the scripture reading with a beautiful prayer that, as in childbirth there is the breaking of waters and a flow of blood, that is what we’ll see in the spiritual from our prayer at the rock. Norman had the opportunity to lead the prayers for healing of the land, along with Rodney Minnecon and John Blacket.

When Pastor Peter visited our art gallery, Barbara showed him a very large canvas of Australia that Norman painted about 18 months ago. It is prophetic art pointing to what would happen at the National Prayer Gathering at Ayers Rock. A strong anointing came on her as she explained this to him. It is accompanied by a prophecy Norman received from the Lord in New Zealand in 1996 about healing waters. The painting is of the map of Australia with the Holy Spirit in the centre over Ayers Rock and healing rivers radiating out of Ayers Rock to the rest of Australia and to all nations and races of the world, symbolized by the red, yellow, black and white hands and boomerangs. The healing rivers flow back to Australia just as boomerangs come back. Australia is surrounded by a rainbow symbolizing God’s covenant with humankind and all creation. The endtime angel also has the rainbow around him as does God’s throne.

The angels blowing trumpets in the top left and right of the painting called "Millenium Watch" are surrounded by flames of glory and herald the new millenium. The angel on the left is wearing a cross and the angel on the right is wearing a Jewish flag. This symbolizes reconciliation of Jew and Gentile and the reconciliation of both to Christ. The Lord gave us a word to be watchmen over Australia in the area of reconciliation and watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem.

Brian concluded the National Prayer Gathering by saying that God had shown them to cleanse the land by pouring on it a bottle of the best wine and a bottle of the best oil. They only did it when God directed them and this was one of those times so the wine and oil was poured out on Mutijulu land outside the church near Ayers Rock, the heart of the nation. See the Australian Prayer Network’s newsletter for more detail of the Uluru gathering, as we can’t devote too much space to it here.

Prophecies related to Ayers Rock (Uluru) were:-

This is a word that the Lord gave to Norman in New Zealand in November 1996 and he painted a large canvas of Australia with the Holy Spirit as a dove over Ayers Rock and healing waters radiating out from the centre:

For I the Lord your God will heal and bring healing to the nations."

"Hear the word of the Lord H.E.A.L.I.N.G.

Healing every aching life internationally, nationally and generationally.

Rivers of healing will flow, rivers of the love of God will flow, rivers of the fruits of My Spirit will flow,

rivers of mercy, rivers of justice, rivers of righteousness, rivers of compassion, rivers of grace, rivers of unity, rivers of reconciliation, rivers of forgiveness, rivers of repentance will flow,

rivers of vision, healing rivers flowing internationally, nationally, generationally.

These are the rivers of revival, maintain in the rivers. In these I delight, rivers of life and resurrection.

I will open the floodgates of heaven with rivers of refreshing to the nations of the world and to the nation of Australia.

I am pouring out, pouring, pouring out My Spirit.

For I the Lord your God will heal and bring healing to the nations."

Norman Miller, Nov 96

On Australia Day 1997 at our church service, the Lord led Norman to pray with the church over Australia and every state, one by one and make a prophetic declaration of salvation over it. In prayer before the service, the Lord showed Barbara that Australia was like a crippled woman with a walking stick and needed our healing prayer. He gave her 2 Chron 7:14 to pray. In prayer, we stamped the name of Jesus Christ across our nation and across Ayers Rock, the centre.

This is the prophetic declaration Norman made:

"A word from the Lord for every nation. God will declare for this nation of Australia that His Spirit will move from this nation of Australia to the uttermost parts of the world for the Spirit of God is moving. For the Lord would say salvation is today throughout this nation of Australia. The Lord will declare salvation for this state of Queensland. We speak forth the salvation of Australia. We speak forth the salvation of Western Australia and South Australia. We speak forth the salvation of the Northern Territory. We speak forth salvation in the name of Jesus Christ in the states of Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.

A mighty move of the Spirit, God’s Spirit. That we will see this nation change. We will see many, many in this nation of Australia speak with power over this nation of Australia. But it is the day of the Lord. Salvation is to be found in Jesus Christ. For we declare for this nation of Australia that Jesus Christ is Lord over this nation. That Jesus Christ is Lord of all the nations. We declare the name of Jesus throughout the Aboriginal communities. We declare the Lord Jesus gave us the promise of the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit you are welcome in this place. Holy Spirit you are welcome in the nation of Australia. Holy spirit you are welcome in the Aboriginal communities of Australia. Holy Spirit you are welcome to the nations, to the nations, to the nations. Salvation belongs to our God. We declare it now that this is the time of salvation."

Norman Miller (1/1/97)

The Lord would say, "I yearn to pour My Spirit out like healing rain on a dry and parched land, and on a dry and parched people and on dry and parched hearts. For I would pour My Spirit upon it. I would pour healing rivers upon it. Healing rivers. I will seek you My people. Do not set your face from Me in apathy" says the Lord. "Do not think you have much time for time is short. The day of judgement is coming," says the Lord. "Turn your face towards Me, acknowledge Me in all your ways and I will live in your heart, and I will live in your heart forever. For I desire the first place in your hearts. Have no other God before Me. Have not other desire than for Me. Seek no other thing than My will. Seek Me and you shall find Me for I desire to be found by you. You cannot flee from Me. Wherever you go, I will be there. Do not flee from Me, do not hide from Me. Do not run from Me but run towards Me. Desire Me in your heart of hearts. Have a passion for Me. Desire Me in your heart of hearts. Have a passion for Me. For I desire to be your God. Seek Me this day and you will find Me for the time is short" says the Lord "and you know not when that day will be."

Barbara Miller 2/2/97

In response to Norman’s prophetic song "What do you see? When the Lord spoke to Jeremiah, He said ‘What do you see?’ What do you see? What do you see? The Lord is watching His word to fulfil it," Barbara received the following word for Australia:

"I can see a map of Australia and earlier on while we were singing the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit, I saw the flood waters all over Australia coming from the centre. What I am seeing now is a fire. It started burning right in the centre of Australia and now I can see fires all over Australia, not so much on the coast but going out from the centre. The Lord seems to be saying to take a prayer team to Ayers Rock to pray for revival fires in Australia."

Barbara Miller (8/6/97)

When the Australian Prayer Network called the nation to prayer at Ayers Rock in July 1999, a prayer team of seven went from Cairns to Ayers Rock and others from various churches prayed for the nation simultaneously from our church in Cairns.

The Lord gave Barbara a word when she prayed over a visitor from England to our church in Cairns 27/7/98 and it was shared in England October 6/10/99.
