"Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous , and say 'If we had been living in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partners with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.'Consequently you bear witness against yourselves that you are sons of those that murdered the prophets. Fill up then the measure of the guilt of your fathers."Here we see specific reference to the judgment of God on a multigenerational vocational cast, the stewards of the temple. Jesus teaches that both their corporate and personal guilt are unresolved before God because of lack of repentance.
"Let Thine ear now be attentive and Thine eyes open to hear the prayer of Thy servant which I am praying before Thee now, day and night on behalf of the sons of Israel Thy servants, confessing the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against Thee; I and my fathers house have sinned."There are places in the earth where Christians have been praying for restoration and harvest for generations, yet breakthrough does not come and satanic oppression seems impervious to our declarations of Christ's authority. Intercessors have been taught the importance of unity, purity, intensity and perseverance. Indeed, fervent prayer is ascending in many nations, but it seems that we are missing something or the results would be different.
(Nehemiah 1:6
If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (I John 1:9)
Confess vour faults one to another that you may be healed.
(James 5:16)
"...For they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know Me, declares the Lord. Everyone take heed to his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; For every brother will utterly supplant, And every neighbor will walk with slanderers. Everyone will deceive his neighbor, And will not speak the truth; They have taught their tongue to speak lies, And weary themselves to commit iniquity." (Jeremiah 9:3-5)
"Why have they provoked Me to anger with their carved images, And with foreign idols?... For the hurt of the daughter of my people I am hurt. I am mourning... Oh, that my head were waters, And my eyes a fountain of tears that I might weep day and night for the slain daughter of my people!" (Jeremiah 8:19; 21; 9:1)
